Running from January 23rd to February 12th, 2024, this highly anticipated event promises an extraordinary showcase of fresh, cutting-edge works from celebrated galleries championing emerging artists. This year, Janet Rady Fine Art proudly features a curated collection spotlighting the diverse narratives of four remarkable artists: Hannah Knox Born in London, England, Hannah Knox is a painter whose works delve into Greek myth, art, and fashion. Her paintings, created from an array of fabrics and cloths, undergo staining, pouring, dipping, printing, or spraying techniques. They embody a dynamic presence, often shifting between abstraction and figuration, becoming sculptural as they traverse the realms of self-portraiture, still life, and projection spaces. Theophilus Tetteh Based in Accra, Ghana, Theophilus Tetteh, a graduate in Graphic Design and Painting from Marimus Art School, infuses his art with raw colours to emulate the essence of creation. His practice beautifully intertwines the mechanics of man-made environments with the natural order of the world, aiming to evoke emotions and inspire while forging a connection with the unseen. Tiffany Alfonseca A Dominican-American mixed media artist based in Uptown, Tiffany Alfonseca's vibrant artworks celebrate Black and Afro-Latinx diasporic culture. Her pieces articulate the rich diversity and complexity of these communities, exploring nuances through bold settings and multilingual expressions. Alfonseca's art serves as a testament to the strength, resilience, and unique experiences of Black and Afro-Latinx communities. Moses Mous Hailing from Maroua, Cameroon, Moses Mous draws from his upbringing in a large family and early exposure to artisanship. His paintings reflect his personal experiences as a young man in today's Cameroon, showcasing at various international exhibitions and festivals. Mous' journey in plastic arts and painting has been shaped by interactions with fellow artists, inspiring his passion for artistic expression.
