Looking for a Cheap Way to Stay Cool This Summer? ∗ When the temperature level outdoors begins to rise, most people will concur that living or working in a little space without central air conditioning is exceptionally uneasy during the summer months. ∗ If there is no way to cool it down, the space becomes stuffy and unbearably hot. ∗ If the temperature level remains hot for long periods, this can be more than an inconvenience and postures a risk to health. ∗ Portable air coolers provide inexpensive options for people who do not have central air conditioning cooling systems in their homes.


Under $200? Probably not. ∗ Let's face it. We all want to conserve cash. ∗ Often, we get folks asking for our suggestion for inexpensive portable air conditioning units. ∗ Last week, an individual emailed in to ask if we understood of a device that cost less than $200. ∗ We did some research and we could not find any portable a/c under $200. ∗ However if you stay in a dry environment (think Arizona), then you do not actually require a portable air conditioner. ∗ Rather, you can make do with an evaporative cooler (also called a swamp cooler).


$300 Is the Lowest We Found ∗ For a Portable Air conditioning unit, $300 is the most affordable price point we found ∗ If you reside in a humid part of the country, however, you're going to need to spring for a real air conditioning system.
