ABOUT YONER-LIBERIA Youth Network for Reform (YONER- LBERIA) is a Legal Youth Development NGO in Liberia. YONER LIBERIA was founded on February 4, 2008 and incorporated on August 20, 2010 as a Youth Development NGO empowers young people from deprived communities by breaking down barriers through innovative education and empowerment strategies to heal them from the effects of the civil wars, to pursue their dreams, and to become independent men and women. YONER-LIBERIA has a number of innovative strategies including local scholarships, school engagement outreach program, counseling/peer mentoring; academic enrichment programs, lecture series, innovative jobs creation and advocacy campaigns using social media and community outreach and social recreational activities. The goal is to enhance the quality of their lives to secure better future and livelihoods in Liberia, and Africa. Jarius Andrew Greaves is the Founder/Executive Director of YONER-LIBERIA. Andrew is a firebrand youth rights activist with a deep passion for seeing young people issues brought to the front burner. ABOUT JARIUS ANDREW GREAVES A LIBERIAN AND AFRICAN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER Jarius Andrew Greaves is a passionate Youth Development Worker and an esteemed Emerging Entrepreneur. Andrew is a firebrand youth rights activist with a deep passion for seeing young people issues brought to the front burner. He is an outstanding member of the African Youth Leaders Network, and a passionate youth development worker with competent professional Development skills, with six-year experience in volunteer experience, social justice advocacy and monitoring and evaluation. Proficient in MS Office Suit and Internet browsing. Andrew was recently nominated and selected as the Liberian Minister of Health, Her Excellency Honorable Dr. Bernice T. Dahn’s (Mrs.) Youth Representative to the Liberia National Core Team for the Sub-Regional Project on “Youth Empowerment and Demographic Dividend”YEDD chaired by the Liberian Ministry of Youth & Sports. an initiative entitled” Mano River

Integrated Response (MRIR): Building Resilience and Supporting Recovery through Youth Empowerment” which is an effort to mobilize financial support for interventions designed to address the changing and pressing challenges of young people in the sub-region. : It is being organized under the auspices of the Mano River Union Secretariat and the UNFPA. YEDD is an initiative entitled” Mano River Integrated Response (MRIR): Building Resilience and Supporting Recovery through Youth Empowerment” which is an effort to mobilize financial support for interventions designed to address the changing and pressing challenges of young people in the subregion. : It is being organized under the auspices of the Mano River Union Secretariat and the UNFPA. Andrew is the Recipient of the Global Youth Leader Icon Award-2015 when he spoke as International Speaker at the International NGOs Summit (IYONS) in Chennai, India from July 24-26, 2015. “IYONS” – International youth NGOs summit – organized on the lines of a United Nations Conference and a first of its kind initiative in this part of the world engaging the cream of the youth from several countries discussed, debated and evolved globally relevant practices aimed at delivering peace, tolerance, mutual love- between people, institutions and nations. It is an event mentored by the late India Former President Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam(who died a day after the Summit) and Nobel Laureate Dr Kailash Satyarthi. Jarius Andrew Greaves is the Founder/Executive Director of the Youth Network for Reform (YONER- LBERIA); a Legal Youth Development NGO in Liberia. YONER LIBERIA; founded on February 4, 2008 and incorporated on August 20, 2010 is a Legal Youth Development NGO attending to the needs of children and youth from socially and economically marginalized groups through a number of innovative services to enhance the quality of life for underprivileged children and youth in Liberia, and Africa. YONER-LIBERIA has a number of innovative strategies


including local scholarships, counseling/peer mentoring; academic enrichment programs, lecture series, innovative jobs creation and advocacy campaigns using social media and community outreach and social recreational activities. Andrew is also the Founder and 1st Country Coordinator of the World Youth Alliance Liberia Chapter. He worked hard and certified Liberia by completing WYA Certified Track A Program and Liberia has been approved in line with the Alliance International standards to operate as a full chapter under the Africa Regional Office. WYA, founded in 1999 in New York at the United Nations Conference on Population and Development, committed to promoting the dignity of the human person in international policy and building solidarity between youth in developing and developed nations. World Youth Alliance works in three core areas: Education, Culture, and Advocacy and is accredited by the United Nations Economic and Social Council. This Alliance aims at promoting the dignity of the person and building solidarity among developed and developing nations through policies, culture, and education which aims to foster free and just societies aimed at integral development. WYA has spread to six regions and continues to attract young people who believe the dignity of a person needs to be defended through its core areas of focus: advocacy, education and culture. These regional offices are headquartered in Kenya (Africa), Philippines (Asia Pacific), Lebanon (Middle East), Mexico (Latin America), Belgium (Europe) and headquarters in New York, USA (North America). To Andrew’s credit, he holds an Associate Degree in Management and a Junior Student at the Stella Maris Polytechnic in Liberia in Management. Andrew was selected and profiled in World Youth Alliance International Annual Report-2015 as most Outstanding Member and Leading Voice of the Alliance within the African Region. Andrew is a selected member of 52 Emerging Leaders from the Atlantic Basin an represented Liberia at the Third Edition of the Atlantic Dialogue Emerging Leaders Prgram-2015 held in Marrakesh, Morocco. He became semi- finalists for the 2015 United States Government Community Solutions Program and the 2014 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young Africa Leaders Initiative. Andrew has also participated in several regional and international conferences including the most recent, 2nd African Youth Conference on Democracy and Good Governance held under the theme “Africa Beyond 2015” in Maputo, Mozambique form September 22-25, 2015,Third Edition of the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders Program held in Marrakesh, Morocco organized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States and OPC Policy Center of Morocco from October 24-26, 2014, and the World Youth Alliance Africa 3rd and 4th Africa Emerging Leaders Conferences in Nairobi, Kenya from August 28-31, 2012 and August 21-25, 2013 respectively. Andrew has unquestionably distinguished himself as an outstanding emerging leader in Liberia an across Africa with strong leadership abilities. He initiated the establishment of a youth organization that has tremendously impacted the lives of hundreds of underprivileged youth and street children


in post war, and now Ebola stricken Liberia and Africa at large. His work with this organization over the years has proven his intelligence, hard work and innovation and his role as team player. It is intriguing to inform you on how many of the young people in Andrew’s community see him as their role model and torchbearer for positive decision making. Andrew has had over ten years of experience of working with young people across different geographical regions and his engagement with several humanitarian initiatives around Liberia. He is diligence and with a strong moral integrity. Andrew lives in Paynesville, a suburb of Monrovia, Liberia’s Capital.
