In what’s been described as ‘the most heated competition’, Carpigiani UK’s Gelato Challenge winners have been crowned! LET BATTLE COMMENCE The gelato scene had never been more fired up, as some of the nation’s best chefs brought their A-game to the UK finals of the Gelato Festival World Masters 2024! Over three heats across London, Manchester and Hereford, 23 finalists wowed judges with their best gelato dishes. From the on-trend to the unimaginable, there was an array of creative and delicious artisan offerings for the panel of industry experts who critiqued taste, structure, creativity and overall presentation. But there could only be one winner from each heat… Here are the victors who will represent the UK in the 2025 Gelato Festival World Masters in Italy!

The 2025 European finals of the Gelato Festival World Masters in Italy will see the UK finalists compete against more than 40 gelato chefs from across the globe! Dates for the competition will be announced next year. GROWING SCENE Carpigiani UK’s managing director, Paul Ingram, said: “The entire Carpigiani team – from the UK to Italy – has been bowled over by the sheer talent of all the gelato chefs in the UK challenge. Across the three heats, the quality, creativity and

Daniele Panunzio of Panunzio’s Kitchen Gelati Italiani in Bristol, with ‘Monte Bianco’ – inspired by his favourite childhood treat, with White Lake goat’s cheese, caramelised salted pecans and fresh raspberry sauce.

Jon Adams of Gelato Gusto in Chichester, with the flavour ‘Liquorice & salted caramel’ – a plantbased caramel gelato with a hint of salty liquorice.
