European buyers are reminded of the regulations concerning the transfer of Firearms within the E.E.C. Overseas certificates are not valid in the U.K..
Prior Import Consent is required from the consignee (obtained from the issuing authorities in that member state) before a U.K. Export Licence will be granted. Trade Buyers within the E.E.C. are reminded that Gavin Gardiner Limited hold an open Dealer to Dealer licence, the Import consent requirements remain the same.

COLLECTION OF PURCHASES AND UNSOLD PROPERTY
Lots will be available for collection at Gleneagles until 12 noon on the day following the auction. All uncollected lots will then be packed and returned to Gavin Gardiner Limited’s secure storage in West Sussex. Lots will be available for collection in West Sussex by prior appointment from 9am on Thursday 31st August.
Lots may be collected from Gavin Gardiner Limited’s administration office in West Sussex, or from Sotheby’s London salerooms by prior arrangement with Gavin Gardiner Limited. In all instances, a prior appointment will need to have been made. Buyers are urged to arrange collection of purchases within 10 working days of the auction and are reminded that risk of loss passes to the buyer after this date.
We can arrange for lots to be packed and dispatched by courier and delivered to nominated Registered Firearms Dealers within the UK. This will be arranged at the buyer’s risk and Gavin Gardiner Limited reserves the right to charge for its time and packing materials. Buyers are reminded that they are responsible for arranging their own insurance cover while the goods are in transit. Sporting Guns and Firearms will be released by appointment only.
