ILLUSTRATED. £200 - £300 MINIATURE VASES In this sale there are two miniature vases, which were sold as sets AND used as salesmen’s samples. There were 6 shapes and this series of ware was known as the ‘177 series’. These cute little vases (7.5cms – 9cms) are of extraordinary quality and are much sought-after today. They feature a whole gamut of Clarice Cliff designs whether they be in Bizzare, Fantasque, Latona, Inspiration or Applique range designs. The two different shaped miniatures are in Original Bizarre and Gayday. Backstamps can be varied, and Art Director John Butler also produced a set of these under the Oriflamme banner for Wilkinson’s.
