19* Two Aircraft Mascots. Owned as a pair of motor-car mascots since the 1960s, these excellent depictions of the Sopwith Pup Biplane and the Fokker Dr.1 Triplane, the latter of the type that the German Ace, the Red Barron flew, are being sold as a pair, both mascots are named and dated 1917 on their bases, with British and German decals respectively, and with classic detailing, to include spinning propellers, wing arrangements, gun emplacements and undercarriages, the period nickel-plating on brass is in excellent condition, both are 4in (10cm) high, and are mounted on turned wooden display bases (2)
