Depicting five scenes: The Murder Hole, Loch Neldricken; On the Cree; near Dalry; Gatehouse on Fleet (with a cyclist on the left, standing by his bicycle); and Roman Bridge on the Minnoch, signed and dated 1933 bottom centre, below the main title, there is a horizontal panel at the top, inscribed ‘CYCLING’, with each letter tinted in blue pencil, Sheet and image size 16¾ x 12ins (42 x 31cm), there is a small, but noticeable, dent in the last-named image, and the sheet margins are rather dust-marked

An idyllic country scene, depicting a pipe-smoking cyclist resting by a stream and contemplating the beauty of the landscape, signed and dated 1936 bottom left below the main title, which is followed by a six-line commentary, beginning: ‘How good sometimes to leave for a while even the by-lanes, and wander where no sound of modern progress penetrates....’, the single word ‘CYCLING’ is in a panel at the top of the image, each letter tinted in blue pencil, so this is likely to have been a front cover design, sheet and image size 17¼ x 12½ins (43 x 31cm), the margins are dust-marked, and there is some light soiling around the middle of the sheet, but such an evocative image would benefit greatly from careful cleaning
