Bowers, 1979. From the library of Hugh J. Yea (19182009). Hugh joined Imperial Airways in 1935 at the age of 17 with a brief spell in the RAF before early release in 1935 to rejoin the then named British Airways (later to become BOAC). With 42 years continuous service around the world, he finally retired from British Airways in 1978. Until 2009, Hugh dedicated time to researching the history of aviation, contributing to many books and articles on civil and military aviation. (46) £300-400
