John Whitehurst II (1761-1834) was the heir an successor of the well known John Whitehurst FRS whose firm continued making clocks at their works on Cherry Street, Derby, until 1855. Francis Abbott (1779-1831) manufactured clocks at Agard Street, Derby, from 1800-1829 and then at Wright Street until 1831. £600 - £1000

James Blackmore, son of James, was born at Ottery St. Mary in 1759, presumably apprenticed c. 1773-1780 and married Elizabeth prior to 1791 when his son James was born at Sidmouth. is recorded working at Sidmouth 1795. £250 - £350
