who’s hungry? FRUITY FLAPJACK FINGERS 1 Put the butter, sugar and honey in a saucepan and heat, stirring
occasionally, until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.
2 Add the oats, fruits and nuts to the pan and mix them in well.

3 Transfer the mixture to a prepared cake tin (20cm x 30cm) and spread until about 2cm thick. 4 An adult helper should heat the oven to 180C/Gas Mark 4. Bake the mixture for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden around the edges, but still slightly soft in the middle.
5 Allow it to cool in the tin, then turn out and cut into fingers.

instructions 1 Take some plastic cups or an ice-cream tub and ¾ fill with soil. 2 Put a few seeds in each cup and then thoroughly mist the soil with water. 3 Cover the top with a piece of cling film and place the cups or the tub on a sunny windowsill. 4 There’s no need for watering until the sprouts begin to appear as the plastic wrap acts like a greenhouse, creating condensation and moisture for the seeds.
5 Once the seeds have begun to sprout (5-10 days), remove the plastic wrap and water them daily or as needed.
