Henry Duncan Garnett, Jr., 78, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Norfolk he grew up in Newport News where he attended Warwick High School. He was graduated from the College of William and Mary (BA 1968) and from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law (JD 1972) where he was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa honorary leadership society.

Duncan loved serving his community, his church, his family, his clients, and friends. This service was reflected in his active involvement in numerous organizations, each of which were important to him.
Duncan loved the saltwater life of fishing and boating along the Chesapeake Bay aboard The Pearl. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed waterfowl and upland bird shooting, bird dogs and retrievers (and one hapless bulldog, Harry.)
