Employee of the Month
M OLLY M ORNINGSTAR B RAWLEY
olly grew up in Gloucester, Virginia with her identical twin sister and younger sister. She always had a love for food and knew her passion was to be a chef. In 2014 she graduated with a culinary degree from the Culinary Institute of Virginia.

Molly worked at Waypoint in Williamsburg and Lulu Birds in Gloucester before becoming a manager at Whole Foods. She joined James River Country Club only a few short months ago after leaving Whole Foods, and says she enjoyed management but working at the Club has made her realize that food is truly where her heart is.
She now lives in Newport News with her boyfriend Patrick Ryan, a musician who you may all know from his frequent Thursday Night Music gigs, and the Spring Ladies’s Wine Social. Besides cooking, she is extremely adventurous and once spent eight months in her car traveling
Molly has become a pillar of James River Country Club’s culinary staff. Since joining the team as a prep-cook, she has climbed the ranks and is working her way to being named Pastry Chef, which is an especially high honor as the Club has not had a pastry chef in over 20 years! You may have noticed that your dessert specials, especially the Sunday Supper Club dessert, have become more creative, and most importantly, more delicious. Molly pours her heart into every bite she bakes, scrutinizing over each detail to be sure desserts turn out perfectly. She is now beginning to take over creating some of the banquet desserts, making James River Country Club an even more stellar choice for year round events and adding the extra special cherry on top to our banquet department.
We are so proud of Molly’s growth and accomplishments, and look forward to many more years of her sweet, sweet confections. As such, James River Country Club is very excited to name Molly Brawley the February Employee of the Month!
