James R. Hughes - A Desire to Help Others in Need James R. Hughes is a medical professional who has spent his entire career practicing in the fields of immediate and emergency care. He has served in the medicine for more than 40 years, and more than 30 of those years were spent working full time in the emergency room. He is devoted to helping patients in need, and he has been committed to a career doing so since 1971. His experiences have shaped him into the expert that he is today, and it’s the reason why his patients return to him in order to solve their medical problems. He hopes to continue to serve his patients for many years to come.

James R. Hughes began his career in medicine as a nursing student in 1971. However, his professional training and education in the medical world was put on hold in 1973 after he was drafted into the army. Although his education was put on pause, he was able to gain real-world medical experience after he scored highly on the entrance exams. He was awarded the responsibility of providing medical support to special operatives in the field. His time in the service would later serve as the inspiration behind his career in emergency and immediate care. After his time in the military, he was able to continue to pursue his education, and attend medical school in 1980. He would graduate three years later, and move on to pursue even more professional training.

James R. Hughes is now working in an immediate care center in Bluffton, South Carolina. He is one of the six founding members of the Georgia Emergency Associates group, which began in 1994. The group is dedicated to serving patients in need of both immediate and emergency care. They operate five different emergency room clinics, as well as five different immediate care centers across two states. They have plans to expand the business even further, and they already have more than 60 physicians on staff. In addition to their more than 60 physicians, they also have 45 physician extenders, and an immense list of other support staff. James has been a major player in the organizations continued success, and although he no longer works in the emergency room, is still dedicated to serving the needs of all his patients.

When James R. Hughes isn’t working on growing the success of his career, he can be found traveling with his family, going skiing, and riding his paddleboard in order to enjoy life to the fullest, and to stay healthy and active.
