Civil Ceremonies
The McHendrys Bathed in natural light and set with fabulous optional reclaimed cinema seating to form that all important aisle, the Cotton Room creates the perfect industrial chic backdrop for your dream wedding day. At Holmes Mill we are licensed to host up to 150 guests for your civil ceremony, simply contact the local Registrar to discuss the ceremony and availability.

Drinks Reception Following your ceremony, you and your guests are invited to move through to the stunning Bar & Grill for your drinks reception. Or if the weather allows, why not enjoy drinks in the Mill Yard? Occupying the original Spinning Block at Holmes Mill, The Bar & Grill oozes sophistication, with Art Deco features and plenty of glamorous charm. It’s all in the detail... Holmes Mill can accommodate 50 – 150 seated guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 180 guests for your evening reception. We are fully licensed to hold your Civil Ceremony and for your chosen entertainment, however PAT testing certificates and PLI are required from suppliers. All provisional bookings are valid for two weeks after which point the booking must either be confirmed or released. All our wedding packages are completely bespoke, we do however have minimum number requirements that differ by day. There is a 39-bedroom hotel on the Holmes Mill complex. Rooms are subject to availability, please speak to your wedding coordinator for more details.

Payments If you would like to go ahead and book Holmes Mill, we request a minimum payment of £1,000 or 25% of your wedding breakfast food price, whichever is greater. In the case of external caterers, the full kitchen hire fee is required. Nine months before the date of your wedding, 50% of the estimated wedding total is payable. The outstanding balance must be paid three months prior to the wedding date – any further items added to the invoice after the final payment must be settled one month prior to the wedding date. Children are classed as 12 and under but are not included in the minimum numbers. Please be aware that the prices are subject to any vat increases. MINIMUM GUEST NUMBERS Depending on the time of year and day of the week there may be a minimum spend that must be met. Please ask your wedding co-ordinator for further details WEDDING INSURANCE Paying for your big day is a significant financial commitment. It is for this reason that we require you to have the basic wedding insurance policy in place on confirmation of your booking. Please ask your wedding co-ordinator for a copy of our guide to wedding insurance or you are welcome to source your own insurance provider. PAYMENT PLANS If you would like to spread the cost of your wedding, please ask your wedding co-ordinator for details of our payment plans.
