Thomson on Computer Science What is computer science? Anyone who hears of this will think computing is just about programming, but I can guarantee you, that it is not true. You will come across so many new technologies, for example, Micro Bit which is a new technology that we started using in July to create a small and simple game. However, for basic programming, you will need to familiarize yourself with all the basic hardware and have some knowledge about how it works. Being a 08 programmer you’ll need to know how to create websites using software like HTML5 and CSS. Finally, programming entails you to use C#, C++ to make 12 14 programs or windows forms.
31
“One day I will write code for new technologies.”
“ I am a tutor, not a teacher, I show you how to do something and you develop that knowledge by yourself and correct your mistakes.” said by Gordon Moore who is my tutor. To summarise, if you want to learn computing science, you need to be 69 hardworking every time and get ready for the new technology that is coming. Maybe one day you will need to write code as part of your contribution to this new 50 23 technology.

Mental Wealth (part one) We all feel under pressure to get things done, whether it is doing coursework, preparing for an exam or simply managing friends and relationships. All these things can be simple or very complex and can result in feeling stressed. Stress is the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure. Pressure turns into stress when you feel unable to cope. People have different ways of reacting to stress, so a situation that feels stressful to one person may be motivating to someone else. Many of life’s demands can cause stress, particularly studying, relationships and money problems. And, when 12 14 you feel stressed, it can get in the way of sorting out these demands, or can even affect everything you do.

Stress can affect how you feel, think, behave and how your body works. In fact, common signs of stress include sleeping problems, sweating, loss of appetite and difficulty concentrating. You may feel anxious, irritable or low in selfesteem, and you may have racing thoughts, worry constantly or go over things in your head. You may notice that you lose your temper more easily, drink more or act unreasonably. You may also experience headaches, muscle tension or pain, or dizziness. Stress causes a surge of hormones in your body. These stress hormones are released to enable 12 14 you to deal with pressures or threats – the socalled "fight or flight" response. Once the pressure or threat has passed, your stress hormone levels will usually return to normal. However, if you're constantly under stress, these hormones will remain in your body, leading to the symptoms of stress.

LITTLESTEPS 08 My name is David Gould. I teach Academic English and Individual Research Project. I have been teaching for over 13 years. I like the beautiful surroundings of the ISC. My aim as a teacher is to improve my students English and study skills and help them progress to Year 2.
