HEY THERE! Oh my gosh! Thanks so much for contacting me about your Wedding and Engagement Photography. I am so happy that you’re here (because sometimes it’s lonely sitting here behind my computer all day). I can’t wait to hear all about your wedding day ideas. woohoo! You’re getting married! Oh my gosh! Isn’t it great to just sit back and think about? Alright, so, this is totally not one of those letters that starts off: From the moment I picked up a camera at the age of 7 months, I knew I wanted to shoot weddings. Um, yeah, that totally didn’t happen here. For some reason I thought that I was supposed to be an Accountant. haha! Yes, I’ve always loved photography, and when I was a teen I totally thought that I was gonna be a Combat Photographer in the Air Force (oh my gosh) - even took 4 years of JROTC in High School to get ready for it. wooo. But the universe, baby Jesus, and my heart had other plans for me. I am 100% completely blessed to be amazing at what I do and I adore photography, but do you know the best part - the most amazing and wonderful part about photographing weddings? You! Your family, your crazy friends, your sweet love - I get to be some small part in your Best Day Ever! And I think that’s pretty freakin’ cool! My couples are some of the most ridiculously amazing and caring peeps I have ever met and I would have never had that opportunity if I wasn’t my own boss! I am in the business of being able to see people so in love that their eyes fill with tears when they even try to describe the love that they have for their best friend (yeah, it happens to the boys too). I get to document a day so freakin’ special that parent’s homes are refinanced to make them happen, and relatives travel from entirely different continents to see vows spoken by their favorite people in the whole world. That is some powerful stuff there- and I have the pleasure of experiencing that almost every weekend. So, sit in your favorite spot in the sun, grab some sweet iced tea and flip through this little book that I’ve created just for you. Pretend that I’m there with you, cracking one of my ridiculous jokes every once in a while. This is seriously gonna be your BEST DAY EVER! Warmly,

Jaime :)

The Difference Why me? Why am I different than any other dude with a camera out there? Why pick me to spend your entire wedding day ninja’ing photos all over the place? I’m gonna be straight up with you for a minute. This is one of the most difficult things to type right now. I wish that we really were sitting down in front of each other at this moment because you’d be able to see my heart being poured out all over the floor, splish-splashing all over the place - as I explain my feelings about who I am and why I’m different. You see, the biggest reason that I’m amazing at what I do is because I really do care. About you. I want to hear all about how you met your sweetie and what your favorite memory is because you are seriously the reason that I even pick up my fancy dancy camera. I mean come on, I could be shooting food right now, but that doesn’t do it for me, that wouldn’t fill me with joy! I want joy, dang it! ;) The fun way that you tease him when he always forgets to wash out his cup every night and the way you have to hold his hand when you’re in the car - even if it’s only been 7 minutes. There is just something missing if you can’t hold his hand while he’s driving (even though you are seriously 12 inches from him). That’s what I love - that’s why I do what I do. Your children and your children’s children will have the opportunity to see what I see in you. I want them to be able to hold your pictures in their hands and be brought back to the silly, full of love moments that only a new Engagement and Wedding brings. He just asked you to marry him -You’re getting married! You get to spend every single day with the one person in the entire world, that Gets You.

You get to wake up every single morning and know that he’s going to be right there beside you, and he’ll spend every moment trying to make you happy. You guys are in the most amazing love zone ever! Right now is the one of those times that you can look back on your life and remember how excited you were for tomorrow. Yeah, there are a billion other photographers out there, but when you’re 67 years old, and the both of you are rocking in your Lazy-boy recliners, you’ll want the security in knowing that you’ll have all of the gorgeous photographs that you wanted, how you wanted. It’s my job to create all of those amazing wedding pictures that you want and catch moments in a time where digital quickness is all we think about - but think for just a moment, how many times has your hard drive crashed? Once, Twice - maybe even more - have you lost anything? What if it were your Engagement and Wedding Photographs? That’s not something that you ever have to worry about when I’m your photographer! All of your photographs will be safe with me. Cause I’m a safety girl - I have 3 hard copy backups and 2 online cloud backups. Your wedding photos aren’t going to get lost because they are the only thing that’s left after all of the cake is eaten and the flowers are wilted. What Legacy will you leave for your children? Will you be able to leave your pretty wedding photos? - You better believe it!

GETTING MARRIED with a little less stress

• Be sure to have a hair and makeup trial at least a month before your wedding. This will give you peace of mind to know exactly how you will look and give you the opportunity to change things in advance if necessary. Make sure to bring all jewelry to the trial to see how makeup shades work with the pieces. • Have your florist deliver your flowers to where you are getting ready, not the ceremony venue. Since you never know when the mood will strike for a great photo, you’ll want your flowers there and ready to go. • Find out what the rules for photographs are at the ceremony location. All venues are different, some restricting the location of photographs and even the times in which they are permitted. • If possible, arrange to have some of your formal photographs taken before the ceremony. Getting amazing portraits of the both of you, early in the day frees up some of your time to spend after the ceremony to spend with your guests. You will be able to go to cocktail hour earlier and catch up with loved ones without stress. • Have food delivered to your getting ready location. It may be hectic, but take the time to have a bite before the wedding since it will be a while before you have the opportunity to nourish yourself during the reception. • Prepare an emergency bridal kit with clear nail polish, mints, a sewing kit, stain treater, Visine, safety pins, bobby pins, pain reliever and mini deodorant. • Allowing 50% more time for hair and makeup than you originally anticipated alleviates the number one reason wedding schedules end up running late. This will assure you have plenty of time for all the portraits you want to take before the wedding. • Make sure you discuss a “rain plan” with your venue just in case Mother Nature doesn’t see sunshine in the cards.

ENGAGEMENTS

Engagements are so engaging - haha, get it, get it. One of my couple’s favorite times to have a camera in their faces, is during an Engagement or Anniversary Session with your’s truly. ;) Time and time again, my couples have loved how comfortable I’ve made them feel - even being all mushy with each other, which let’s face it, you normally do in the private spaces of your home. A great time to start planning for your Engagement Session is about 6 or 7 months before your Wedding Day, that way it gives you time to plan what you’ll do with all of the gorgeous pictures you’ll have! It also revitalizes you for more wedding planning - sometimes planning for such a huge day gets stressful and this is a great way to just get back into the why of the two of you. Having an engagement session is so important for

several reasons. First, this time allows you to get comfortable in front of my camera - since I’ll be the one at your Wedding with you all day. Next, you can showcase your personalities in a more casual setting, while creating some fun captures for wall portraits, your wedding sign-in book, sign-in board and Thank You cards (if shot early enough, I can also provide the images for your Save the Date cards and invitations). Alright, and let’s face it, this is the perfect time to get him to get kinda dressed up and kiss your face all day. ;) Honestly, guys think they don’t want their picture taken, but they have some of the best romantic expressions ever! Cause they’re sooo in love!!

Great engagement shoot ideas: • At the place he proposed: After all, what better way to capture an engagement than the place it all started!

• At your favorite restaurant: Meaningful memories happen with food, ambiance and your special song playing in the background. • Doing your favorite activity: You both enjoy playing checkers. What better way to capture your personality than in the heat of game play, the agony of defeat, or the comedy of contemplating your next move? • Where you first met each other: Whether your first meeting was a discussion at the library or fumbling for the door at the local coffee shop, going back to your beginnings is a marvelous memory.

• Images with your pet: What better way to capture your new family than by including a beloved shared pet in your session?

• Your favorite skyline: Your city is beautiful at any time of the year, and the skyline shares where you live now, a beautiful location that might change with time. • A downtown urban session: Fun and funky, pictures in alleyways or in otherwise undiscovered locations of your area make for a more intimate view of the city.

• An amusement park: Nothing says fun like the love of Disney to go with your whirlwind romance.

• A romantic beach: In the morning, evening or any time of day, the sweet sounds.

• Vintage-styled, with old furniture and funky clothes: Bring out your nostalgic or avant garde side with some dramatic, edgy modern shots coupled with retro stylings. • At your favorite, cute coffee shop: Quirky and cozy, local mom and pop shops are a great way to take a quick break to refuel and to catch some local, architectural shots with you in the process.

• Seasonal: Catch the nuances of the seasons, including everything from a winter wonderland, to leaves of fall, to flowers in spring, to the lush, green summers in nearby beautiful fields and forests - travel may be required since I’m in Orlando & our seasons are Hot and Hotter.

YOUR WEDDING

A WEDDING DAY PHOTO TIMELINE A wedding is a total whirlwind and it’s over in the blink of an eye. There’s little more important to a perfectly executed event than an organized timeline. If you are looking to effectively plan out your wedding day with your wedding coordinator or fiance, here’s a look at a typical wedding photo timeline from my point of view. I’m totally here to help assist you in planning out your day so that you don’t miss a beat. 6 HOURS BEFORE THE CEREMONY

I’ve just finished putting all of my bags in the car and I’m now going over the wedding information questionnaire again and having a meeting with my assistant to talk about the details of the day. 5 HOURS BEFORE THE CEREMONY I leave for the wedding site. The bride’s hair and makeup will be underway so that I can capture some awesome photo journalistic styled getting ready photos and it leaves plenty of time for first look and couple photos. 4 HOURS BEFORE THE CEREMONY I arrive at the preparation site to capture the finishing touches of hair and makeup and to document the bride getting into her wedding dress and the groomsmen making their final preparations. 2.5 HOURS BEFORE THE CEREMONY We arrange for a “first meeting” for the bride and groom where they see each other before the ceremony. Immediately after this we begin formal photographs with the entire wedding party, if desired.

45 MINUTES AFTER THE CEREMONY We enter the dining room before the guests arrive to photograph the cake and floral decor. We also take this time to set up room lights and spotlights if we find they are needed. Right before the guests arrive we touch base with the catering manager, wedding coordinator or DJ to see if there were any last minute changes to the reception schedule. START OF THE RECEPTION At this time I strictly document the reception candidly as it unfolds, including the first dances, toasts, dancing, and cake cutting. But don’t worry; I am always available for any photo request you may have throughout the evening. Just ask! This is one reason why it’s a great idea to have me inside the same room that your reception is held, so that I will get those impromptu toasts and such. AFTER THE SPARKLER EXIT We pack our equipment and prepare for our departure. But first, we will check with you to make sure there aren’t any further photos you would like or an overtime request.

2 HOURS BEFORE THE CEREMONY The bride and groom’s portraits begin. This is the mushy, lovey part! Woohoo! About an hour before the ceremony we stop to allow you to freshen up, collect your things, and make it to the ceremony site on time. 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE CEREMONY I leave the preparations site to set out for the ceremony site. Here I coordinate with my assistant and set up any equipment we need during the ceremony. We take a last look around and find where the light is coming from to best document the ceremony. At this time you should have a quick refreshment and take 15 minutes of quiet time; you’ll want to regroup before all the excitement begins! 30 MINUTES AFTER THE CEREMONY We arrive at the reception site and immediately begin photographing Family Formals.

Six (6) weeks before your wedding I’ll touch base with you by phone or e-mail to discuss your wedding day photo timeline. I’ll also send over your Wedding Day Questionnaire to fill out with all your wedding details including locations, family members, special wedding day events, vendors and much more. This information will ensure we are all on the same page for an unforgettable and stress-free event! Yay!

THE MOMENTS IN BETWEEN WEDDING DAYS ARE FILLED WITH SUCH POWERFUL EMOTIONS THAT HAPPEN IN A SPLIT SECOND - I’LL BE THERE TO CATCH THEM SO THAT YOU CAN SHARE THEM FOREVER.

Literally, there are so many things and people that are special about your wedding day. While they may seem like everyday happenings to some, the unassuming, barely there tear that your Daddy has in the corner of his eye while he waits to see you in your dress for the first time. Or your BFF that flew all of the way from Texas, is getting ready with you & singing at the top of her lungs, the song that you both loved when you were 13. These are the smaller, sometimes unnoticed moments that tell the story of your special day. I ninja the crap outta them so that you can share the moments well into your married future. I love you guys!

letters from you

Ashley & Stephen Jaime DiOrio was the most talented photographer I have ever worked with. She took an ordinary picture and made it extraordinary. I would have never thought I would love a picture of our wedding rings as much as she made me love the one she captured. She got our pictures to us very quickly and also gave us many sneak peaks along the way. She truly is an artist.

Catherine & Donny Jaime was perfect, from the first email down to the smallest details at the wedding. Thank you so so much! We were so excited to see so many beautiful moments from our day.

Molly & Ryan

AMAZING!!!!! Jaime and her assistants did such an incredible job at our wedding. She was fun, patient, efficient, and so creative! We’re obsessed with our pictures!!!

My fiancé and I really want to have pictures of the entire wedding day - I can’t stand having to count how many hours I’ll need my photographer for. How many hours will you be at my wedding? You are singing my song - the reason my most popular Wedding Collections come with ALL DAY coverage is because my couples hated having to figure out when they could have me start when they only had a 6 hour package. I remember this one wedding I was a 2nd photographer for - the wedding had run a little bit behind, as some weddings do, and the Bride & Groom were eating their dinner during their reception (non of the fun stuff had happened yet) and the photographer that I was working for walked up to them and said “my contracted time is up, if you would like me to stay it’s this much per hour”. OMG, I about died - I promised myself from that moment forward that my couples would always have me their entire wedding day.

I’ve read that some couples have a first look before the wedding, is that a good idea? For some couples, having a small amount of time together (just the two of them) before the ceremony, relieves a lot of the nerves and tension that can happen on a wedding day. I never try to pursuade you either way, but I will just give you some of the pros and cons of having a first look.

We’d love an engagement shoot! Do you shoot engagement sessions? Oh my gosh, of course!! Engagement Sessions are some of my most favorite things in the whole wide world! I work with you to plan the engagement shoot that showcases your relationship & personality. Additionally, I can even help you design pieces for your wedding using your engagement shoot photos for sign-in boards, guest books, save-the-date cards, thank you cards, table place settings, and much more. I also offer gorgeous album options to help you remember your engagement shoot forever. Be sure to check out page 8 of this issue for more information about scheduling your own engagement shoot for a lifetime of special memories!

THE PROCESS

FROM SHOOT TO ALBUM The weeks prior to and directly following your wedding planning are busy times. Here is a brief timeline which will help you to understand how I am working to make you happy about your whole experience with me: Six weeks before your wedding: I email over your fun Wedding Day Questionnaire - it’s filled with bits of info as well as questions that will help me get on the same page concerning what’s gonna go down on your big day. Two weeks before your wedding: I give you a quick check-in call or email to confirm all the details from the schedule and your wedding questionnaire. The day of your wedding: We arrive at the scheduled time and start making magic! haha! Yay, it’s the Best Day Ever! The day after your wedding; I’m popping little sneaks on Instagram & Facebook as well as finishing the backups from the evening before cause I’m a safety girl. I had so much fun at your wedding, so I’m taking a day off and chillin’ on my couch. :) Up to Six weeks after your wedding: I’m editing all of your wedding images which will then be archived and prepared for your online gallery or proofs. Six weeks after your wedding: We meet so that you can see all of your gorgeous Wedding Photos and I deliver your online wedding gallery. woohoo! We will also pick your favorite components for your album thinks like, cover material, pages and style. We also use this opportunity to take order for portraits, wedding party member gifts, parent albums and any other personal keepsake gifts we offer. Seven weeks after your wedding: I email over your album information form to let you know what to expect as I design your album. Ten weeks after your wedding: I email over your Wedding Album Proof so that you can approve your album! Fourteen weeks after your wedding: Your album and artwork are ready for pickup! At this time I also provide a client care card packet which will ensure a long life for your precious heirlooms.

TRADITIONAL family formals

READY, ...AND SMILE You know by now, that I’m all about capturing the most natural, candid portraiture possible - you know, those in between moments. I believe that my style truly showcases your day as it was, helping to bring your personalities forward and documenting your day for a lifetime of memories. While I shoot the majority of my images this way, it’s also very important to capture traditional formal portraits as well. These group shots are best immediately when everyone is ready and fresh, either right before the ceremony or after (my favorite is after the ceremony). It’s a great idea, and one of my favorite things to do for my couples, to get a huge picture of everyone that was there to celebrate your big day with you. Then, because we know that everyone wants to get the party started, I always start with the largest group and break it down after that to allow

for mingling. It’s also a great idea to have a designated person to help gather everyone as well as make sure all family members are in the proper picture - don’t want Uncle Bob to be left out on accident! As time permits, my couples and I love to include a picture of the bride with each of her bridesmaids and the groom with each of his groomsmen, since each person has been such a huge part in making your day run smoothly - and let’s face it, they know all of your secrets! ;) If you have ideas for any ‘can’t-miss’ portrait groupings you would like to see photographed during this time, make sure to note them on your Wedding Details Questionnaire. I’m totally happy to work with you to capture all of your special moments!
