ARRAY BEHAVIORAL CARE Client Profile Array Behavioral Care is a Telepsychiatry service, that offers modern behavioral care from hospital to home. With a large remote team of highly qualified behavioral health clinicians to serve patients. Currently, Array is the largest telepsychiatry practice in the country and a leader in modern behavioral health care.

POLARIZING Polarizing can restrict the vibrations wholly or particularly to one direction which can cause someone or something to acquire polarity, dividing into two contrasting groups. Being polarizing enough disqualifies the things that are potentially toxic with conflicting ideas. Not always eliminating polarization completely so much to have distinction and maintain accepting diversity while having different sides. Polarizing design can have an enormous effect on people, and what they love to love or hate to hate. While striving to design something that polarizes people in the direction of enthusiasm and love.

100 Riverview Drive Savanah, GA 31401 • Located outside of Savannah’s downtown historic area, the site is located right off of Islands Expressways.

The building was built in 2005 and has gated parking. It is only a twelve-minute drive to Broughton street in downtown Savannah where you have access to restaurants and shopping.

BUILDING ANALYSIS Existing Materiality - The main building entrance to access the elevator to the 2nd & 3rd floors already has carpet square tiles, and acoustic ceiling tiles, with dark leather furniture.

- The exterior has an existing brick façade around the building on the 1st & 2nd floors, while the third floor is in stucco.

- The pane windows are already in place around the exterior.

- With the building's location/position it will receive the optimal amount of sunlight during sunrise and then between 3-7 pm when the sun starts to set.

- The space will get the most amount of sunlight coming in through east and west-facing windows on the building which would be the windows on the front and back of the building.

RECEPTION AREA

Concept Application The Concept application of Polarizing has been shown through the lowered-wood ceiling over the reception desk, as it defines the reception desk from the rest of the lounge area. With the ceiling and flooring being reflected of one another, helps to define the space from the circulation space.

BREAK OUT SPACE

Concept Application My concept was applied through using different wall materials to breakup the long hallways, and help to define the different spaces through ceiling and flooring changes from the main circulation path. Also by carrying the wood not only on the ceiling but down the walls on each side of the break out space, helps to define the space, to know where it starts and ends.

OPEN OFFICE SPACE

Concept Application The waterfall effect of the conference room ceiling/wall helped to define the space with also making the hallway visually interesting. The wood posts to define the stairs, while also allowing you to still see through into the open office space when walking down while providing visual interest to the space.

Concept Application I carried the ceiling and flooring from the private offices out into the hallway, to help define the space from the circulation path while also breaking up the long hallway.

I also use high gloss wood floors to reflect the light in the space creating polarizing light.
