He is a commercial real estate investment specialist with Cushman & Wakefield/Cornerstone Commercial in Nashville. He is engaged to marry Megan SaB.B.A.tini. Chesley ‘99 and Hillary Taylor James and their sons, Pruet and Perry, welcomed a daughter, Taylor, on August 16, 2012. Chesley is in business with his dad and brother. Leighton Batte Mosteller is employed by PMT Publishing as web editor for Birmingham Home & Garden and Mobile Bay magazines. She lives in Birmingham with her husband, Clifton, who is an attorney with Burr & Forman LLP. They welcomed a daughter, Carlisle, on May 18, 2012.

Eric and Lori Wright Stringer welcomed a son, Seth Stephen, on November 18, 2012. Lori teaches at Stonebridge Elementary School in Brandon.

Ro Taylor is the RUF minister at Georgia Southern. Natalie Hunt Towery and husband, Jim, live in Jackson with twin daughters: Sheila and Courtney (JA preschoolers pictured below). Natalie is currently a stay-at-home mom. She has her bachelor’s of science degree from MC, and her master’s of physical therapy from UMMC. Jim is a fellow in interventional cardiology at UMMC.

Jennifer and Ryan Revere live in Batesville where he is an attorney with Smith-Phillips Law Firm. Ryan was selected to the Banking and Finance Advisory Board at Ole Miss. He received his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2010.

Robert Rushton is the chef de cuisine at Walker’s Drive-In. He is engaged to Lauren Coffield.

After working six years for Senator Roger Wicker, Lenwood Brooks recently accepted a job as Policy Director for Public Notice. Public Notice is a non-profit communications company dedicated to providing Americans with clear, unbiased, and useful information about key economic and fiscal issues. Public Notice is involved in national TV and billboard advertising efforts.

Katie Calhoon recently graduated from culinary school in New York City at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. She also completed an internship at Mas (farmhouse) in Manhattan and an apprenticeship at Blue Hill at Stone Barns with Chef Dan Barber.

Martin Penman is engaged to Avery Hall Sampson. He lives in New Orleans. Kristina Rabarison received her B.S. in biology from Mississippi College, her M.S. in biomedical sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and is currently enrolled at the University of Kentucky-College of Public Health as a Doctor of Public Health student in Health Services Management. She was selected in May 2012 as one of ten 2012 Public Health Systems Research Scholarshop recipients from Academy Health. The scholarship is a nationwide application process open to graduate students interested in the field of PHSR, serving the fields of health services and policy research.

Jacob ‘99 and Anna Smith Haralson welcomed a daughter, Carter Elizabeth, on November 12, 2012. They live in Jackson. Katy Vaughan is a speech pathologist with Blair Batson Children’s Hospital.

Cole Kimbrough is with Southern Beverage and lives in Ridgeland.

Harrison and Meredith Mitcham Young and son, Lambdin, welcomed another son, Carr, on August 23, 2012. Harrison is with Cardinal Ventures; and Meredith is the owner of Au Courant, which is a floral design and event business.

David McKinnon has been with the Bottrell Insurance Agency since 2006 and serves as a construction/surety bonds producer across the Southeast. He married Mary Margaret Bracken on March 24, 2012. She graduated with a master’s in nursing healthcare administration in May 2012.

Brian received a bachelor’s in psychology from Appalachian State University and a master’s in modern languages from the University of Mississippi. He attends Mississippi College School of Law. Mary Chris Kellum married Ryves Moore on July 7, 2012. She has a bachelor’s in dietetics and nutrition from Ole Miss, and a bachelor’s and master’s in nursing from UMMC. Ryves is a fourth-year medical student at the Universiy of Mississippi Medical Center. Hunter Newman has spent the last two years in Thailand teaching English to kindergarten and elementary students. He has returned to Jackson to pursue a degree in geology.
