ON trend

Oh So Sporty For spring, sportswear reigns supreme, especially on the runways of Milan. Leading the way was Donatella Versace with nylon parkas and leggings. Max Mara and MSGM also pushed to keep the athletic look in the forefront with gorgeous fashionable jackets, spandex and even couture bike shorts. In Paris, the traditional “athleisure” took a highfashion turn paired with boots and heels and embellished with buckles and quilted detailing. Proving that no matter your personal feeling about gym clothing-clad people running errands and filling up the tables at your favourite brunch spot, this trend isn't going away any time soon. Instead, it's going the high-fashion route with chic silhouettes and edgy details.

Inspiration can be found all around! Show Bags Teeny tiny bags worn as jewellery will be your next obsession. Designers in Paris such as Valentino, Givenchy, Chloe and Hermes sent the cutest (and slightly impractical bags) down the runways. While they won't fit your iPhone or really anything (perhaps just your cash, credit cards and maybe, if you are lucky, a lipstick) these cute handbags might inspire you to cut down on all the items you are toting around.

Crowning Ponies For spring 2017, the high pony tail makes a major comeback. Keep the look fresh by wrapping your own hair around the base such as the models did on Nicholas K's runway. Or turn the same wrapped ponytail into a bun like the edgy ballerinas at Christian Dior. With the help of Redken’s Global Creative Director, Guido, he added small cornrows underneath to elevate the classic topknot.
