Coming to the zoo The park is like a zoo Everywhere I look animals surround me Children flying kites or playing with kazoos Hopping around like kangaroos Running back and forth like a pendulum clock Kids come for a family picnic The children eat coke and cake Children clap carelessly with the animals Then the animals come out to play

THE

Beach Love-Assonance long-e I love the beach Entry fees are cheap It’s fun to swim in the sea Kids playing with glee Oh I wish it was me Not just sitting by the palm tree Eating from a picnic basket Meat and Bread Now I feel happy here I could sit here for an eternity

School BellsOnomonopoeia Clang, Clang, Clang, Ugh, first period The most dreadful part of the day I’m ready to get a load of work Ding, Ding, Ding, Ahh, time for lunch Finally I’m able to socialize But I get sad thinking of 8th period Dong, Dong, Dong School is over Swim practice is coming with a bang Ready to go

Morning of a Swimmer

Personification I see the boy sleeping as still as a rock I scream at the boy its 4:00a.m. The beds sheets grab the boy telling him to stay The tile floor yells as the boy walks to the shower As the shower comes to life, it sings with pleasure

Icicles-Imagery Cold to the touch Clear as crystal Icicles surround the house Dangling off the roof Dropping from the balcony I taste nothing but water I hear the icicles melting Drip,Drop,Drip,Drop Then, Crash The icicle fell on me

Justice Wargrave-Rhyming Hey my name is Justice Wargrave I will kill you if you don't behave I be stylin’ On my own mysterious islan’ Killing is what I like to do Act within the law or I’m coming for you I will not be suspected because I am a Judge But trust me I’m good at holding a grudge The police can't figure out my genius plan So I wrote down a letter explaining everythan’ I am old and I have some wrinkles But it my eyes the light of justice twinkles

My Reflection-Metaphor/Simile I look at myself in the mirror I see a sun beaten swimmer’s body My skin is a peach Homework is like a deadly python waiting to strike I hate it Working hard is like an achievement Once done you feel pride In the mirror I see my hair Dead as a doornail from chlorine Reading is a gateway to other worlds It can make you happy or sad History is a blast to the past When learning it you become the ancient people I try not to crack up like glass I am Jack

Tone- Steak Sizzling from the kitchen Juicy, delicious, terrific I will put it in my belly Ohh, it's so good How can anybody think this is good They got this from animals Slaughtered like boxer Veggies Rule! Tastes alright Vegetarians look at it with fright I eat veggies to Why don't people eat both two

Mood- Tense/Lighthearted Light Hearted

Let's go Everybody's dancing like dying octopuses Gotta join Whoa, I get thrown back by the crowd The music is really getting loud Standing out from the crowd Dancing like a tornado in the storm This is called the norm' Tense I'm scared Everyone is dancing crazy Want to stay back I get pushed and shoved by people The music is like a siren Trying to blend it Dancing carefully trying to fit in This is called the norm'

Allusion- Doctor Who You know who I am I'm the Doctor Saving the world With my sonic screwdriver My companions help me Those aliens fear me With the tarsus I travel through time I regenerate when I die Last of the Timelords, that's me Only one in all of the galaxys

Hyperbole-Homework 4th period, no homework today This is great, hooray 5th period I look at the board A ton of homework I have to hoard A pile tall enough to reach the sky Oh, why, why, why! I will be so old, I can't even maove At parties I won't be able to groove Now, I have to tug A pile of homework that can squash me like a bug

Sonnet ⅚ Dos’t thou ever feelest like an old bag

Wrinkled, saggy so light soaring through the air Are though underground none to hear your nag Thou spark ignites like a glistening flare

Thou art not devoid of space that is waste Thine future can not be told on this day

Greatness is something thou will often taste

Storms may come and rain but rainbows will stay Roads lead to doors that open new portals

Thy heart will gleam like bright pyrotechnics Explosions in the sky like immortals

Stopwatch goes off my heart boom boom boom tick Thou spirit is sparkling like a hidden

gem the world will know thee and awaken
