Sainsbury's Donates to Lanesend Primary
Sainsbury’s West Cowes has presented Lanesend Primary School with a Community Grant for £300.00 This will help to support towards the cost of an education kitchen suite for pupils and parents. The Sainsbury’s Community
Grant scheme, helping charitable groups in the local community is funded by the sales of ‘Bags for Life’. So for customers as Sainsbury’s West Cowes buying a ‘Bag for Life’, this means that they are not only doing great things for the environment, but
are also making a contribution to their local community. Sainsbury’s West Cowes Store Manager, Charles Bird, said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we can do as much as we can to support it. When we heard
about Lanesend Primary School, we were really pleased to be able to help out.” Last year alone the Community Grants scheme provided £135k worth of donations, nominated by depot and store manager and colleagues from stores nationwide.

The next Tandem Skydive in aid of Earl Mountbatten Hospice is taking place on Friday 26th July
at the Army Parachute Association Airfield, Netheravon, Salisbury. All fundraisers taking part in the Tandem Parachute Jump are asked to raise a minimum of £400 in sponsorship, this covers the cost of the jump and a donation to the Hospice.
