With the rapid change of climate, countries are experiencing unprecedented high temperatures. H igh-altitude workers are primarily the victims of extreme heat because they can’t leave the working area whenever they want. Therefore, considering the needs of high-altitude operations, the combination of the Peltier chip and biological detection system is the safety harness system mainly designed for highaltitude workers.

As global temperatures continue to rise, outdoor workers suffer from many diseases, ranging from heat stroke to cancer, which are unprotected health rights of individuals and a constant loss of human resources for employers. Because of the nature of their work, workers at height cannot move around as they please and are the victims of this trend.

Entry Point Applies peltier chips to the cooling system, the bio-sensor can sense the body temperature and automatically activate the chip to cool down body by absorbing heat. With relay control, only small amount of electricity and heat dissipation holes are needed. Equipped with communication system, improving the overall using context.

Prototpying By actual test of the peltier chip's performance and its heat dissipation limit, we found that it can control the temperature we need without an additional water cooling radiator through the integration of relays. After that, we test the position of pressure dispersion to choose the fabric material.

The concept " sea anemone" is a magical space in the ocean and a protective cover area for clownfish. Through visual contact with colors, tactile contact with fabrics, user can relax in this chair. And for different using situations, user can module it by simply replace the anemone sticks. Thus create a private ocean area on the land, just like the clownfish in the city.

Ideation The concept of sea anemone is taken to transform the space into a magical and relaxing atmosphere. With various usage contexts, the comfortable anemone will accompany people in the city. Like a clownfish, it allows the user to find that recognizable reliance, creating a private anemone area on the land. Based on the root-shaped sticks, brainstormed the using scenario and different materials.
Form Design A small warped foot is made at the bottom of the stick to show the vitality of an anemone and also make the overall vision more interesting.
CMF Design and Prototyping To find the most suitable fabric for dyeing gradual colors, I tried many of materials, and turned out that pure cotton is a perfect choice. It has the beautiful, smooth, and bright gradual change of colors, which gives a transparent and light texture to the chair. For the model, in order to creat the subtle warped foot, I made a curved tool to help bending the pipe. Pink cotton fabric

To repond the guildlines of Compassion in World Farming (CIWF), brands and farmers should be responsible for the welfare of farm animals. We visited the farm and found that there weren't many toys for adult goats in a pen. To enrich the environmentm for goats based on thier natural traits. We combine what interests a goat (sound and food and heading up) to be a Chime.

Farm Animal Welfare Committee (FAWC), they believe that good animal welfare implies both physical fitness and a sense of wellbeing. Five Freedoms form a logical and comprehensive framework for analysis of animal welfare and goes on to outline their position that all farm animals should have a life worth living.
There are barely objects for adult goats to explore in the pen. Though they have something to scratch themselves but it’s too expensive for one.

What are Goats' Natual Traits To enrich the pen environment, our stradegy is to encourge or bring back natural behaviors of goatsmake goats.

Then based on the farmer scenario, goats' natural traits, farm environment and manufature process and costs, we modified every design detailed, to make this product down to earth. Inside the product, an irrigating system is keeping scratching bands wet, so that you can have a shower efficiently, just by rubing yourself !

Refugee education has been an issue in Europe for years. There are more and more refugees, with forced displacement reaching historic levels. To help young refugees better fit in France. We design a campaign that involves refugee children (8-12 years old) in a rap workshop with famous French rappers. Raise funds to support a good cause: refugees' education and integrity.

After the rule passed in 2017, which euthanasia is no more allowed for animals, the number of strayed-dog soars. After we analyzed physiological & psychological needs and Symbiotic relationship between human and Strayed dogs, we decided to create a sharing community/sharing park. People can take some time off here, but also stray dogs can connect with strangers to increase their adoption rate.

Why People Gather in A Park
The problem of stray dogs has never been completely solved. Even after the government passed the law of no mercy killing in 2017, the number of overcrowding in shelters gradually increased. Overcrowding meant that the shelter could not carry such a large number of arrested stray dogs. The numbers must be even more alarming. Pet dogs abandoned by humans and live on the streets, losing their trust in humans, and some even have aggressive behaviors that cause social problems. (National Animal Shelter Management System, 2020)

A park that restored the relationship between people and dogs was born.
Dogs: from shelters or anyone’s dog People: who use the park
People came to the park to exercise, and the gathered crowds merged into a community. We designed the facility to be used with dogs and to add dogs to the original community. A new symbiotic relationship, people who love dogs but can’t raise them for various reasons, here provide a vast venue and a variety of dogs, dogs can also gather people to get a better life through interact with people who come to the park to rebuild each other's trust, or become a family again.

Facilities In this topic (Symbiotic Interest), We investigated how people and stray dogs achieve a mutually beneficial relationship, so we use a “pet park” as a prototype to design a space where people and stray dogs can co-exist, and design some facilities. We hope they can connect by using these facilities, and be able to live in this space with more harmoniously.
We used small-scale objects as the starting point, considering the intersection of human movements and dog habits. In the design of the facilities, we are not only considering the rationality of using, but also thinking about simple operation. And we combine various terrain to choose the location that can put our design. Beside, we are also design vending machines and touring vehicle in the park. It makes our design is not just hardware facilities , but also have more details into the entire park. Behind the simple operation of the facility, we went through a difficult design process. We realize that what kind of activities would dogs like from searching reference, then use these activities to combine some simple actions(to people),and design the prototype of the facility. When the prototype is born, it will into the part of details. In addition to confirm the rationality and practicability, it also determining size that can be used comfortably by all different ages and gender. After all of details are confirm, the final model can be build.

Final Present The model ‘s actual size is 25 x30m ², and the ratio is 1:50, which allows us to display it in a certain range, and it shows the audience to see the details. Beside the model , we also made an animation, including how to use a facility and usage scenarios, which makes the description more clearly.

Final Present This workshop involed 2 Japanese professors and 4 design apertments in USC. It was interesting to discuss with not only product design professions, but also those ones in sociology, medical, engineering.... Our final present, we came out with a complete system, which had considered different actors in this projects. And there could still be more details could be discussed.
