Welcome to The Ivors Composer Awards 2019.

This year’s nominations see one of the most dynamic displays of contemporary composition in recent years. It is a great honour to be able to recognise and celebrate the works and the extraordinary creators behind them this evening.

The Awards were established in 2003 to shine a light and raise the profile of exceptional creative talent across the country, and 17 years on I am delighted to say they are continuing to do just that, and more. The evolution of the Awards, particularly as part of the journey to unite them with The Ivors earlier in the year, has inspired and enriched new audiences whilst championing those at the heart of our vibrant music community.
