Move the pointer onto the corner shaped character in the center box of the Preferences window.

Press and hold the left mouse button and drag the corner shaped character.
The corner shaped character moves, and so (toes the entire screen.
Workbench
Interlace
These gadgets set interlace mode on or off. Interlace mode is the Amiga's special setting for high-resolution graphics. This mode only works with very high quality monitors; most monitors show a jittery picture. You may never need this mode, but if you would like to see it: •
Click on the On gadget for Workbench Interlace.

Click on the Save gadget

When the disk drive stops, hold down the (£[JD keY and press the
<Commodore logo> (or left <Amiga>) and right <Amiga> keys at the same time (this will reset the Amiga).
Watch the screen display.

After the Workbench has loaded, double-click the Workbench disk icon.
•
Double-click on the Prefs drawer (if available).
•
Double-click the Preferences icon.
•
Click on the Off gadget for Workbench Interlace.
•
Click on the Save gadget
•
When the disk drive stops, hold down the fctrO key and press the <Commodore logo> (or left <Amiga>) and right <Amiga> keys at the same time.

Open the Workbench window by double clicking on the Workbench icon.
•
Double-click on the Prefs drawer, if available.
•
Double-click on the Preference icon.
This area has no gadget name. It sets the mouse pointer speed. Each Mouse
Speed
number (1, 2 or 4) represents the number of inches of mouse movement to move the pointer one third of a screen.
•
Move the pointer onto the Mouse Speed gadget (the vertical bar with the numbers 1,2 and 4 displayed in it).
