Elder Jermaine Richardson was born in Charlotte, NC, and committed his life to Christ at the age of 8 years at Gospel Light House Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. It was apparent that God had chosen Elder Richardson, as evidenced by the preaching of his initial sermon under the tutelage of Bishop John C Parks at New Hope Baptist Church on July 22, 2001. He was licensed as a minister of the gospel under his current Pastor and Teacher, Apostle B. J. McCloud of Tabernacle of Faith Church, on August 19, 2002. In 2005, Elder Richardson was elected President of the Youth Council of Tabernacle of Faith Church of Winston-Salem, and having served faithfully in that role, was deemed by Apostle McCloud to be a good candidate for a shared position of Coordinator of the Youth Department of Tabernacle of Faith. Elder Richardson works at The Children’s Home in Winston-Salem.

Rev. Laura Alexander Elliott serves as Chaplain & Congregational Liaison at The Children’s Home in Winston-Salem, which serves Western North Carolina. Rev. Elliott is an ordained United Methodist clergyperson and is appointed by the Bishop to her ministry at TCH. Previously, she was appointed to Experiment in Self-Reliance (ESR) which provides services to low-income families and the homeless in Winston-Salem. Prior to her call to ministry, she had a 17-year career in Corporate Communications & Marketing, including working as a Marketing Manager and VP at the former Wachovia Corp. Laura is a native of Gastonia, NC, and graduated as a Morehead Scholar from UNC-Chapel Hill, along with receiving a Master’s Degree from Temple Univ. in Philadelphia. She received her seminary education at Wake Forest Divinity School and Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, from which she graduated magna cum laude. Son John recently graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and just returned from studying abroad in the Yucatan; son Zachary graduated from RJ Reynolds this spring and just started his college career at Vanderbilt.”
