This evening will be host to local art, poetry, films, music, and more - all done by Ithaca’s energetic and creative youth. Veteran film makers Ken Jacobs and Vincent Grenier will be showing films they made in their twenties, followed by a poetry reading and music by some wicked local bands. Think Kerouac, Ginsberg, and the crew during their Columbia years, and you’ll be in the ballpark!

State Theatre, Runs Friday, January 8 through Sunday, Jan. 10 Local youth theater troupe Running to Places (R2P) initiates 2016 with a sharp and steamy production of the Tony Award-winning musical Crazy For You. A tap-dancing, Broadway influenced, modern presentation of the journey of two powerful young people, the play promises to be a delightful invocation. Shows are playing Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
