admiring Brescia Gavardo has a quaint centre with old houses that overlook the Chiese River. To visit is the archaeological museum that contains important vestiges of the past in these areas and nearby Lake Garda. For centuries the valley was enlivened by the art of carving which skilled craftsmen have handed down from father to son. The most famous dynasty is that of the Pialorsi di Levrange, known as the "BoscaĂŹ" which, from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries, left their masterpieces in the Parishes of Idro, Bione, Livemmo, Casto and Bagolino.
