QR Codes on Patient Room Doors Integrates Google Glass into Hospital Care A hospital in Boston launched a pilot project to develop an innovative custom information-retrieval system. Thanks to Google Glass, emergency department's doctors can scan the QR Code placed on the wall of each Source: medcitynews.com room to get access to information about patients. Let's describe how it works: Google Glass immediately recognizes the room and then the emergency department dashboard sends information about the patient to the glasses, appearing in the clinician’s field of vision. In this way the doctor can examine and interact with the patient, as well as perform procedures while seeing data, vital signs, laboratory results, problems, ecc.
