Mentorship meetings were moved online during the lockdown. They gave mentors the chance to have regular interaction with their groups without losing touch, and provided mentees with devotee association and spiritual stability at an unprecedented time of social distancing. Mentorship meetings with ashram residents continued to take place in person as they were isolating together.

The systematic, continued study of The Nectar of Devotion, Krishna Book, selected prayers from Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya-Caritamrta, Suddha Bhakti Cintamani, and Venu Gita is giving devotees association, bliss and encouragement in their spiritual lives, and allowing them to go deeper in their sadhana. Reading Challenges
During the lockdown, several mentorship groups started reading challenges to inspire group members to connect more with Srila Prabhupada’s books. Bhava Bhakti devi dasi’s ladies mentee group read Easy Journey to Other Planets, Sri Isopanisad, The Nectar of Instruction, and Waves 1 and 2 of The Nectar of Devotion. They read a minimum of four pages a day and shared their realisations on a dedicated WhatsApp group. Jai Nitai dasa and Bhava Bhakti devi dasi’s mentee group read The Nectar of Instruction, The Nectar of Devotion, and The Science of Self Realisation by reading four pages a day. Chandravali devi dasi’s mentee group also engaged in weekly reading of The Nectar of Devotion and Sri Caitanya-Caritamrta.
Initiations
The following mentees received first initiation in 2020. Due to the travel restrictions, their initiation ceremony took place via Zoom.
Jenny Yue was initiated on Sunday 30th August by Mahatma dasa. Her new name is Jayaradhe-devi dasi. Her mentors are Satya Narayan dasa and Madhvi devi dasi.
Hanel Gir was initiated on Monday 30th November by BB Govinda Swami. Her new name is Maharani Radhika devi dasi. Her mentor is Bhava Bhakti devi dasi.
