The adoring garlands and the signs of respect and glory won by the state were shown for prominence and due this, the poles was named as KIRTI-TORAN i.e. prestige, respect and glorysâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; ARCH.
In this project we had to go to a place of our choice, capture photographs and then make a book. so I chose sun temple, Modhera. 24

These poles are decorated with te incidents of the Ramayan and the Mahabharat. The Gallery means the places where the devotees sing devotional songs with music and when the climax of devotion is reached they dance in the spirit of the feeling and hebce is called rge dance gallery.

Introduction
The Sun Temple, Modhera, at Modhera in Gujarat, is a temple dedicated to the Hindu Sun-God, Surya. It is situated on the bank of the river Pushpavati, 25 km from Mehsana and 102 km from Ahmedabad. It was built in 1026 AD by King Bhimdev of the Solanki dynasty. In the present times, prayers are not offered in this temple. This temple is now under the supervision of Archaeological SURVEY of India.

Book Design
The reasons for this are many, ranging from the loss of the local linkages and loss of buyers for their products. The artisans lost the highly lucrative Sindh market. The extinction of wool spinners of the Maldharis, causing fall in the hand-spun wool for the production for Kharad artisan.
In this project we visited Bhuj for photography.We capture some picture from client, Hiralaxmi memorial craft and some were taken from internet as a reference. This book and brochures is designed by using these image.
Shaad is the equipment on which it is made. Firstly,the cotton tars are arranged on the shad, then another taar is used to weave intricate patterns. The wool used is derived from camels, goats or sheep. The thread is thick and is coloured using vegetable dyes. The design are conceived by the artisan only.
Jiroi in Rajasthan and mat in English as it is called is an ancient art from Pakistan. Wool and vegetable colours are used to beautifully weave these articles. In previous years, it was used for seating cushions on camels and to bring crops back from the farm. Products include asans, sofa, mats and carpets.
The taar is made out of cotton because of the strength characterized by cotton. It takes minimum ten days to make a single product. The price of the product depends on the type and design of the product.
The popular variants of Kharad are: 1. Cotton-wool: The very basic cotton thread called taar is woven in wool. 2. Cotton-Cotton: the taar is cotton and so is the woven thread.

8 Once done dyeing the fabric, leave it alone. Do not untie it. Do not hang it up to dry. Leave it tied up, and leave it alone for 24 hours. The longer you can let the fabric sit, the easier it will be to wash out loose dye from the fabric. The length of time you let the fabric sit is not overly critical. 9 Wear gloves while handling the fabric, as the dye will still stain your hands until after it has been washed. Place fabric under cold running water and rinse until no more dye comes out of the fabric.

Calligraphy is a visual art form. It is a visually attractive designing and application of the lettering with a broad tip instrument, dip pen, or brush. I learnt the technique of using bamboo stick, called “Kitta”, to create beautiful art.
