Arlington Garden Club August Meeting
The Arlington Garden Club will hold its business meeting at noon followed by a presentation by Randy Schmidt of The Vermont Bird Place & Skywatch at 1 p.m. The presentation is entitled “Backyard Birding.” Randy will bring items for sale to enhance your backyard birding experience. Guests are welcome for the 1 p.m. presentation. The meeting will begin at noon at the Arlington Recreation Park Lions’ Pavilion, on Tuesday, August 17. Members should remember to bring a bag lunch. Marjorie Maas and Barbara Travers will co-chair the meeting. The hostesses for this meeting are Marion Keller, Betty O’Leary and Lynn Williams, under the direction of Patricia McAward. Poultney Garden Club Meeting
The Poultney Garden Club meeting will be held Sunday, August 8 at noon for a picnic at “Bea’s Beach,” 25 Ridgeview Lane, South Poultney, Vermont. Members may bring any choice of food. Bring chairs. Greater Northshire Access Television (GNAT-TV) and Mountain Communities Television (MCTV) will air all episodes of “Meet, Greet & Quiz the Next Governor of Vermont.” Jerry Skapof from the Bennington County Democratic Committee produced the programs at GNAT-TV studios in Manchester. GNAT-TV airs the programs on Comcast channel 17 from 6-10 p.m., Thursday through Sunday through August 24. MCTV airs the programs daily on Comcast Channel 8.
