Alexandria Public Schools – ISD 206 Checklist for Kindergarten Registration This checklist is designed to help you in completing your child’s kindergarten registration. To ensure you and your child are on the mailing list for upcoming in-person events, please complete the Online Registration by Monday, February 26, 2024. ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST During the Online Registration Process, along with entering other demographic information about you and your child, you will be asked to enter or upload the following items (scans or photos):

Early Childhood Screening (if not completed by Alexandria Public Schools) State law requires students entering kindergarten must have completed an Early Childhood Screening prior to the start of kindergarten. Children are screened around 3 years old. If your child has been screened in another school district, please provide us with a copy of the screening record. If you have recently moved into the district and need to schedule a screening, please call Alexandria Public Schools Early Education Center at (320) 762-3305. If you have a copy of the screening, you can upload it at the end of the registration process. Student Immunization Records The immunization record reflects the information we have on file for your child. (Form available for download within registration process.) Photocopy of your child’s birth certificate A copy of your child’s birth certificate must be submitted to verify the date of birth and child’s legal name. A child is eligible to enroll in Alexandria Public Schools if he/she is five years of age on or before September 1st.

Existing Alexandria Schools Parents with a ParentVue Account You will log in with your Alexandria Public Schools Parent Vue Account and then follow the online wizard. When you get to your students, if your child is not listed, use the add student button. Full instructions can be found here: https://bit.ly/3sC2XJE New Alexandria Schools Parents OR Parents without a My AlexSchools Portal Account If you have an email on file with Alexandria Schools, a message will be sent with your new My AlexSchools Portal account on Monday, February 5th. You will use these credentials when you click on the Online Registration Link to start the registration process. If you are not sure if you have an email on file or if you do not receive your credentials, please contact your child’s elementary school office and they will be able to provide you with this information.
