ABOUT ME

4

ISABELLE FAURE INTERIOR DESIGNER From France to Montreal, where I started my design studies at the University of Montreal (Udem). From Montreal to Brisbane where I graduated with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Interior Design, from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). I grew up fascinated by all aspects of the design industry. Different lifestyles and cultures, different construction techniques, no matter where you design , all that matters is who you are designing for. Today my portfolio includes projects from various sectors and I am glad I have learnt different techniques and tools to efficiently conceive, build and visualize projects of architecture / design.

2020

Brisbane return

I was involved in many different projects in French Polynesia, including high-end residential and hospitality projects.

After few years away, I finally received my Australian permanent residency. I am looking forward to come back to the Brisbane design industry and share my knowlege and experience.

WHAT'S NEXT

Hospitality projects

This is the begining of a new adventure that I am looking forward to start. Today, I am focussing on working for and with the right people, because people's ethic and values matter to me more than anything and I know that no matter what the project will be, it will be succesful and fun to work on if I am well surrounded.

In the heart of French Polynesia The refurbishment and extension of the Raiatea Lodge has been completed early 2020. Working closely with the client, it has been a succesful design project mixing a beach and colonial atmosphere. Year : 2019 Status: Completed Location : French Polynesia

Bungalows

Interior

Swimming pool

Seven new bungalows have been designed to increase the hotel capacity. Intertwined tropical, beach and colonial atmospheres !

The challenge in this project also relied on the limited supply of the furniture / accessories to the island.

The whole swimming pool area has been refurbished to integrate a lounge area and shallow basin.

11

Tropical colours

Natural finishes

The bubbly personality of the owners of the place has been considerably impacting the design intent of the project. Based on the previous colonial style of the Lodge, it seemed natural to reuse the powerful colours and keep the Tahitian tropical theme in the concept. The aim was to be different from the other Polynesian hotel while keeping a good standard and to create a memorable place which takes roots in the heart of the island.

Because Raiatea is such a remote island, most of the furniture were handmade and therefore, were made of natural material. This is where the bright colours fuse with the natural ďŹ nishes, to create a sophisticated and punchy atmosphere. The Raiatea Lodge has now its own identity.
