Across the Midlands, South West of England and Wales, our two companies can offer supported living, residential and nursing services, locked rehabilitation and low secure hospitals, as well as a Special Education Needs college

Specialist Hospitals in South Wales

St Peter’s Hospital, Newport

Specialist Neuropsychiatric Service for adults with degenerative neuropsychiatric conditions, complex neurological conditions, and Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

St Peter’s Hospital is a specialist neuropsychiatric service providing expert multidisciplinary assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for adults with a wide range of degenerative neuropsychiatric conditions, complex neurological disorders, and Acquired Brain Injury

located in Newport, South Wales, St Peter’s Hospital offers 51 beds split into single gender units and provides specialist treatment and nursing care that focuses on delivering positive outcomes for our patients, their families and our commissioners

We work collaboratively with patients, their relatives, and commissioners to ensure that treatment and care is dignified, compassionate, and adaptive to meet each patient’s unique needs.

St Peter’s Hospital offers four dedicated neuropsychiatric care pathways:

Specialist Hospitals in South Wales

Heatherwood Court, Pontypridd

Specialist forensic treatment, rehabilitation, and care in low secure and locked environments for complex mental health needs

Located in countryside close to Cardiff, Heatherwood Court offers accommodation across four single-gender units.

Opened in 2008, Heatherwood Court provides forensic treatment and rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health conditions as well as:

During their stay at Heatherwood Court each patient will be allocated their own care team. With the persons involvement the care team draws up an individualised plan of care to enable them to be actively involved in their own recovery action plan which is designed to enable recovery

The people we support work with us to identify the goals and values that are important for them and to gain greater understanding of the behaviours that they may have struggled with, and which have led to them being admitted to hospital

Once the Recovery Action Plan is completed the Heatherwood team creates a programme of care and treatment aimed at helping the person move on from hospital and build their life again in the way that they want.

Care and treatment plans may involve psychological treatment and support and, where appropriate, medication planning

Specialist Hospitals in South Wales

Pinetree Court Hospital, Cardiff

Specialist care, treatment, and rehabilitation for complex care and support needs including learning disabilities, autism, and forensic histories

Located close to Cardiff city centre, Pinetree Hospital offers accommodation split across single-gender units. We deliver individually tailored support based around models of care. Including Positive Behaviour Support, Active Support and Building Better Lives

Pinetree Hospital opened in 2008 to provide care for adults aged up to 65 with a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities, and those who are likely to have been detained under the Mental Health Act

Patients may have complex needs and behaviours that challenge in relation to:

A dual diagnosis of mental health and/or personality disorder

Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Forensic needs.

Operating within a bespoke learning disability and Autism-friendly environment, which is psychologically led, our highly skilled multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to meet the mental and physical health needs of each of the patients we support

At Pinetree Hospital we offer a dedicated 20-week assessment and treatment pathway with a focus on community discharge from day one For those who require further complex treatment and rehabilitation, Pinetree has developed additional specialist and distinct treatment pathways

Experienced in working with people with learning disabilities, our specialised multidisciplinary team has designed our care pathways around Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) approaches, alongside our uniquely developed person-centred model of active support, Building Better Lives (BBL)

Specialist Nursing Care service for people with neurological conditions including dementia, Korsakoff syndrome, Huntington's Disease and Acquired Brain Injury.

Located in South Worcestershire, Pirton Grange is a specialist nursing home, supporting people over the age of 18 with a range of neurological conditions such as dementia, Korsakoff’s syndrome, Huntington’s Disease & Acquired Brain Injury We also support people with physical health needs.

Rated as Good by CQC, the service provides small wards dedicated to specific needs and conditions Pirton Grange provides a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment with access to round-the-clock clinical care and support.

Our personalised and flexible approach means that we adapt our support and provide aids that help to overcome mobility, sensory and environmental barriers The team offers person centred support delivered by our specialist team of non-judgmental, caring and professional staff

The needs of the people that we support are at the heart of everything that we do We work hard to ensure that the care and support we provide meets every person’s needs, abilities, preferences, and lifestyle

Pirton Grange’s clinical care is provided by Registered General and Mental Health Nurses, alongside a Paramedic, Physiotherapist and Support Workers The service also has a designated Activities Coordinator who is responsible for delivering & arranging activities for individuals living at Pirton Grange, providing a stimulating environment to meet their emotional, social, physical & intellectual needs

Cherry Tree Lodge offers 6 self-contained single person flats, each adapted to meet the needs of the individual Each flat consists of its own lounge, bedroom and separate bathroom The property also benefits from a communal lounge, separate dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with access to a large secure rear garden.

Newhouse supports individuals with autism and learning disabilities, offering Autism-specific approaches, such as TEACCH and sensory integration, as well as augmentative communication through Makaton and PECS. Positive Behavioural Support is at the centre of our approach to working with the most complex of individuals and our skilled and dedicated staff team are compassionate in their approach

90 Windsor Road provides 24-hour specialist support for up to 4 people who have a learning disability, Autism or mental health needs. The staff team are experienced and have specialist training to deliver support and therapy to enable the people we support to achieve meaningful individual outcomes

Ty Mynydd, Treherbert

Able to support: Learning disabilities, Autism, Mental Health Needs

Situated in a quiet community and friendly community in the Rhonda Valley, Ty Mynydd provides intensive relational support for women in a residential care setting At Ty Mynydd we provide our own in-house MDT clinical services with regular visits from our Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologist.

Conway House, Cardiff

Able to support: Learning disabilities, Autism, Mental Health Needs

Conway House offers 24 hour residential social care and support for men with forensic histories, Mental Health Needs and/or a Personality Disorder Referrals are accepted from medium secure, low secure, locked rehabilitation services, and prisons as well as from individuals currently in the community whose placements do not give them the support they require.

Ty Brynteg, Porth

Ty Brynteg is based on the Recovery Model with high levels of relational security and strong multidisciplinary team (MDT) working to underpin people’s journeys to recovery For some of the men in our care their journeys have begun from medium secure services whilst others step down to Ty Brynteg from either low security or locked rehabilitation.

Hudson House provides support for individuals who have often stepped down from medium secure services and low secure or locked rehabilitation services, as well as from unsuccessful community placements

Witla Court fully delivers against a key aim of Transforming Care; supporting those with the most complex of needs in a community settings Its location is ideal for promoting social inclusion and for developing independence and greater community skills, and the area has excellent transport links that provide access to local amenities and employment and community opportunities.

Set in a peaceful residential area on the outskirts of Cardiff, Palace Road is ideally located to facilitate community inclusion and access to a wide range of leisure, sporting and occupational facilities, which are essential in the development of community skills and independent living.

Riverdale is ideal for men who prefer a smaller homely environment which is relaxed, calm and well structured Riverdale has been very successful in working with the people we support to enable them to develop their life skills and coping strategies, enabling them to move onto complete independence or to supported living.

Specialist Educational Needs and Additional Learning Needs

Beechwood College, Sully

Beechwood College offers specialist education to young adults with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Additional Learning Needs in safe, secure, and therapeutic learning environments.

A leading provider in the education sector, Beechwood College offers an integrated learning approach which involves the active participation and collaboration of the education, clinical and residential teams

Through an individualised, balanced, and meaningful curriculum, Beechwood College provides experiential lifelong learning opportunities which focus on promoting independence and wellbeing and empowering students to develop the confidence and skills they need to move on into the community and a greater level of independent living.

Known for achieving excellent outcomes and high educational standards, the college supports both day and residential students and is part of Iris Care Group.

Beechwood College aims to create an active learning environment which parents can be confident in and that students will find homely and reassuring, as well as stimulating and fun The main College buildings are clustered around an internal garden courtyard and house both the living accommodation and specialist classrooms

The living accommodation is split into 6 small homes to create a sense of community and safety. Every student has a spacious bedroom which is personalised to suit their own tastes and interests, and with a window either facing onto open countryside or the courtyard garden

Each home has a number of airy communal social spaces, and students are encouraged to use the kitchen and laundry areas to develop their independent living skills.
