Offer a Home Programme

Cork and Kerry County Council are appealing for offers of houses, apartments, or holiday homes for use as temporary accommodation for those arriving from Ukraine. Ideally, properties would be available for at least six months.

Property owners can offer homes online at www.offerahome.ie. Owners unable to register online can also contact Cork or Kerry County Council directly on 021-4386637 or 0667183609

Owners can expect to be contacted within 5 working days of making an offer and an assessment of the property will be carried out shortly after. Cork County Council will match suitable properties to Ukrainian beneficiaries and can support in agreeing licence agreement and other arrangements.

Rent is not payable as the property is offered instead of leased, but a tax-free payment of €800 per month (from December 1st) per property is available through the Government’s Recognition Payment Scheme. The payment is available to anybody who provides accommodation to Ukrainian people. This scheme is managed by the Department of Social Protection, and you will have to apply for the payment separately. The payment is tax-free and is disregarded for meanstested grants/payments.

Full details of the call for properties are available at www.offerahome.ie where offers can be made.
