Returning to Exercise After Summer

By Siobhan O'Sullivan, SOS Fitness

A lot of us described this Summer as our first Summer in three years after two years of different lockdowns over the pandemic. There has been lots of events celebrated that we missed out on in 2020/2021; weddings, birthdays, christenings, holidays – it has certainly been a busy one! For many people, routine will have gone by the wayside over the summer months, kids are off school, the weekly shop may not be happening, take aways or unprepared meals may have been more frequent, and alcohol may have featured a lot more than usual!

As September approaches, you may feel sluggish, bloated and a little bit uncomfortable in your clothes. Now is a good time to start thinking about your exercise routine and how you can get back into the habit of exercising consistently if you have been inactive the last few months. I have lots of classes running in Ballydesmond and you can find the class schedule on bookwhen.com/ sosfitness My classes are designed to suit all fitness levels. I have created a safe space for women to exercise in an inclusive and fun environment. There is no competition. It doesn’t matter what your fitness level is, there will be an exercise to suit you. You may be nervous to join a group class because your fitness levels are not where they used to be or where you would like them to be. Don’t let that hold you back. Your first class may not be your best, but you must start where you are. I would love to see you at classes this Autumn and help you to not only improve your fitness but also your confidence and do it in a fun environment! Class Bookings : bookwhen.com/ sosfitness
