Santa Brings Us All Together

Saturday 2nd December was a magical morning in Millstreet where over 90 children and their parents attended the IRD Duhallow Multicultural Christmas event. The morning activities included decorating gingerbread cookies, arts and crafts, facepainting and meeting the man himself... Santa. It was a lovely morning for children and families from different countries living in Duhallow to come together to celebrate Christmas and promote interculturalism. At this time of year it is so important as a community that we come together to support the integration of migrants who have chosen to move here as well those seeking refuge and asylum in Duhallow. This event was supported under the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme.
