Rockchapel Defibrillator Group
Rockchapel Defibrillator group held a Basic CPR and Defib training course with Ger McAuliffe of the Irish Red Cross on Sat the 28th of Jan. The programme was extremely well received by all who attended. Emergency first aid is a vital life skill and the application of immediate first aid can make a real difference. The Defib group was formed in 2007 to facilitate the lack of emergency first responders to the region as Rockchapel is not in a close proximity to an ambulance depot or hospital. The mobile unit is carried by a member of the group who is on call on a 24-hour basis. To contact the Defib Phone in the case of an emergency tel: 086-3783891. The group are always looking for new recruits; Any interested parties are encouraged to contact Tríona Curtin on 0866780136 or Nora Mary Curtin on 0863795562.
