The Millstreet Library Knit & Natter group made a special presentation to Millstreet and Kanturk Community Hospitals, donating a collection of handmade twiddle muffs. Twiddle muffs are soft, knitted, or crocheted hand muffs with various textures and embellishments, designed to provide warmth, comfort, and sensory stimulation for patients, particularly those living with dementia. The Knit & Natter group meet weekly in Millstreet Library, combining creativity with community spirit, and this initiative reflects their commitment to supporting local healthcare facilities and enhancing patient wellbeing.
