A New Hat for the Wedding Day Ladies Hatz is a new hat shop that has opened at Red House Farm, Ashbocking, in view of the lack of places to buy a formal lady's hat around the Ipswich area. Even if you manage to find a hat for that wedding, the races or some other event you are going to, you can usually pay a high price for the privilege. Ladies Hatz has therefore opened in order to fulfill the gap – at the shop you will find a very wide range of styles and colours of both hats and fascinators, all at very sensible prices. In addition you will receive excellent personal service as all sales are made by appointment. You are invited to make an appointment during which you can try on any number of hats / fascinators to see which suit you best. You are encouraged to bring along the outfit you will be wearing to assist with colour matching and feel free to bring a friend for that second opinion! In addition, if you allow enough time, you could have a fascinator specially made for you, or a hat changed to include colours that match your outfit better. The hats are mostly last year's stock from the large retailers, and as such there are usually only a couple of each, sometimes only one. This can be of advantage though, as you should not find yourself, at your function, sitting next to someone wearing the same hat!
At Ladies Hatz the prices are very reasonable with fascinators starting as low as £15 and hats from as little as £25, with the most expensive hat only £45! There are great names such as Jacques Vert, Bettley, Debenhams, and Hat Box to name just a few. At Ladies Hatz you may even find yourself a matching handbag, or pair of shoes! So if you’re looking for a hat to finish off your outfit then call 01473 833585 for an appointment - don't waste your time hunting around - try 'Ladies Hatz' first. You will be pleasantly surprised!

lanning your wedding reception can be a very hard task. You have to choose your location, food, decorations, and the entertainment. That is why hiring the right people for the job is essential. It doesn’t matter what kind of credentials a Disco has because it does not guarantee that it will be a success. Make sure you meet the person that will be the DJ at your reception. When you are meeting them ask them how many weddings they have done previously and if they can supply references from other couples. It is essential that you get a contract. In the contract you will need to have the cost, location of the event, date, time, name of the DJ, and any reasons which will make the contract will be void. Just make sure everything is in writing. This is the most important day of your life so make sure you get the music you want. Tell the DJ what kind of music you would like to be played before hand and in some cases what order, you don’t want to be on the dance floor for your first dance only to find that the DJ hasn’t got your special song! Remember the DJ is working for you not the other way around. Also you will want to make sure that their music is up to date. Remember your guests also should feel comfortable so make sure the DJ will accept their song requests too. Most of all make sure the DJ has a back up plan just in case the worst happens, because you never know if the equipment will fail!
have a fully working and operational working fire engine available to hire. The Fire Engine has seating for seven; the main inside cabin area is fitted with two excellent flat screen TV screens connected to DVD players along with full sound system. The exterior of the vehicle has all usual fire engine
equipment still fitted including ladders, pumps, hoses etc. For legal reasons there are no ‘blues and twos’ instead these have been replaced with a strobe effect white and amber light bar which is still very effective. The fire engine is a great for both hen and stag nights, or an unusual way to arrive at your wedding! As one Satisfied customer said “ BKP are fantastic, I have had the pleasure on hiring them for both my hen night and my wedding. Both times they turned up on time, the driver was dressed very smartly and always opened and closed the doors. The limo was exceptionally clean both inside and out”. For more information about BKP Limousines to view the cars and to learn more about their Wedding Car special offers, your can visit their website at www.bkplimousines.co.uk or telephone them on 01473 830891

One of the things I do for my clients is help them choose a theme for their wedding. I’m not necessarily talking about a full on themed wedding for example a historical theme with horse drawn carriage, medieval food and guests in fancy dress – however that is absolutely fine if you like that! I think every single wedding has a theme of some sort. It may be a particular colour that is present on the invitations, the bridesmaid dresses, right through to the flowers. It may be a word like ‘love’, or the bride and grooms initials intertwined, or a symbol like a butterfly or heart. As long as it’s something that has meaning to the bride and groom, it will work. A wedding invitation should set the scene for the wedding day and be representative of the bride and groom. It is the first hint your guests will see of the overall wedding theme. Often when I ask a bride and groom what style/design their wedding will be the response is a rather blank look. You may think you don’t know what you want, but you do! The best way to start choosing your theme is to look at bridal magazines and on the internet, there are some fantastic and very inspiring wedding blogs out there with lots of real wedding features. Start collecting pictures of the things you like, don’t worry whether they match or not. Start a file with cakes you like, dresses you like, flowers you like, colours you like etc. Once you have started to build a collection a theme will soon naturally emerge. You could think about making something with your collection of cuttings. Something I do with all of my full planning clients is to put together a design board. A design board is a collation of all the things you like – it really helps to pull together the theme and it’s also a lovely keepsake. The design boards in the pictures on this page are for a Winter Sparkle theme and English Country Garden theme. The overall style of the wedding should represent the bride and groom, try not to get hung up on traditions or etiquette – if that’s just not you then it won’t work on your wedding Caroline Gould launched day.
