I
n the past, fireplaces were simply used to heat the rooms where people lived. Manufacturers of fireplace coatings focussed only on the functionality of the coatings – while accepting limitations with regard
to appearance and design. Coatings producer Rembrandtin has been developing fireplace coatings in many colours for many years. With its innovative coating systems, Rembrandtin managed to combine functional and aesthetic properties in a top-quality coating. The new High Scratch Resistant System ensures that fireplaces and pellet stoves remain decorative elements in living areas for a long time and they offer many benefits to manufacturers and end users. Temperature resistance, adhesion, and corrosion protection are standard properties of a high-quality fireplace coating. Today, a fireplace is more than just a plain piece of equipment – in modern architecture, it is an elegant eyecatcher and a stylish accessory. Designs are numerous and the small choice between black and grey fireplaces does not any longer satisfy customer demands. Therefore, the experienced coatings producer Rembrandtin formulates innovative fireplace coatings and opens up completely new design options. The latest development is a new High Scratch Resistant System which is available in specific colour shades and even with special effects such as metallic or pearlescent for fireplaces and stoves. The new system is compatible with fireplace refinishes in spray cans. The innovative two-component fireplace coating provides colour retention up to 650 °C. This brand-new product stands out because of the glass-hard, high-gloss surfaces combined with an easy-to-clean effect. With a high solid content of 60–80%, this coating meets the increasing environmental requirements (VOC, high solid content) and therefore is a trendsetting product. Offering a large choice of colours, high gloss and high surface hardness, the High Scratch Resistant System is ideally suited for decorating pellet stoves, fireplaces and in general all decorative parts exposed to high temperatures.
