he United Arab Emirates and, more generally, the countries of the Middle East are the new frontiers of architecture: In these regions, daring architectural projects employ cutting-edge construction techniques and innovative materials able to withstand the extreme climate, which combines a high solar radiation with a marine or desert environment and extreme temperature changes. That is why the Middle East, also thanks to the considerable economic investments made, is a launching pad for designers and for those companies that want to bring to market innovative products and technologies, especially for the architecture field. The modernity and widespread prosperity of these territories are clearly exemplified by the urban and architectural development of cities such as Dubai and

li Emirati Arabi, e più in generale i paesi del Medio Oriente, rappresentano le nuove frontiere dell’architettura: lì si investe in progetti architettonici arditi che impiegano tecniche costruttive all’avanguardia e materiali innovativi, in grado di perdurare in un clima estremo che combina un irraggiamento solare elevato con un atmosfera marina o desertica ed elevati sbalzi termici.
