Then, a static nozzle performs a two-fold task: it cleans and activates the mold to enable adhesion of the subsequently applied anti-adhesion coating and produces, immediately thereafter, the patterned coating in that portion of the mold that accepts the foam (see figure previous page). The coating process is integrated in the normal operating cycle of the workflow so that the antiadhesion coating is applied to the mold after the production of a defined number of workpieces. The produced release coating is only a few nanometers thick and therefore has no effect on the dimensional accuracy of the workpiece. Intervention is automated and independent of the operating staff. Il processo di rivestimento è integrato nel normale ciclo operativo del flusso di lavoro così che il rivestimento anti-aderente è applicato sullo stampo dopo la produzione di un numero definito di pezzi. Il rivestimento distaccante così prodotto ha uno spessore di soli pochi nanometri e quindi non ha effetto sull’accuratezza dimensionale del pezzo. oft Rain is a state-of-the-art nebulization system, inspired by nanotechnological products for the pretreatment of metal surfaces. This system is able to perfectly combine the principles of effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability. Combined with the use of Dollcoat SA 115, a product by Dollmar Spa, the technology is able to translate into never before achieved standards of product optimisation. Resistance to the under-corrosion of surfaces is increased by 8 times compared to that provided by the application in a traditional tunnel. Soft Rain offers constant control of main mixing and concentration parameters, with appreciable effects on product use. The system, which is not affected by the problems tied to entrainments, amplifies the potential of the nanotechnological liquid. Moreover, wherever the necessary conditions exist, it envisages the start of a process of recovery of the nebulised product. Soft Rain, beside acting on the mixing process, also interacts directly with the treatment application system thanks to nebulisation which, through special nozzles, ensures the best and most even application of the pretreatment product. The product nebulised in this way shows superior anticorrosive performances over time compared to traditional spraying systems, and ensuring constant results over production as a whole. Salt spray tests carried out by the Giordano Institute in Bellaria (RN, Italy), show no corrosion after 1,024 hours where the surface of the samples had been cut.
