Why study marketing and business management in a technical journal? Because market orientation is the key to the success of any business marketing but the word is seen still more like a nebula than as a science and an activity intended solely to large companies. The purpose of this section of the magazine is not lecturing, but offer some important insights, theoretical and practical reference, a conceptual frame to continue to do marketing, because marketing is the very essence of a business, large or small the task be. The author of the articles that we publish, from this first issue, is the Dr. Felice Ambrosino, a chemist who, after three years in the research university has worked for 27 years in the paint industry for the multinationals of the caliber of Max Meyer and held various positions from research to sales to marketing. Left the employees, in 1993 he founded Studio Sigma (General Management System), a consulting group that brings together 22 business leaders, all from the chemicals sector, each specialized in their functions, from finance to manufacturing, sales marketing to research. Studio Sigma has among its clients the most prestigious national and international companies and operates exclusively for charitable purposes, and donate to non-profit and charitable all of its revenues.
