oncerns arising out of the possible diffusion of bacterial infection and the aggressiveness and resistance revealed by certain bacteria are leading to a broader and more differentiated demand for working and meeting environments provided with equipment, machinery and furnishings which are safe and protected from the possibility of bacterial proliferation. In order to provide a concrete response to a demand of such great importance, the research and development laboratories of Europolveri have formulated “Antimicrobial8”, a powder paint in the Durpol series, capable of blocking the proliferation of dangerous bacteria that would otherwise form “biofilms” or “bacterial carpets” which would then be difficult to remove. The “Antimicrobial8” treatment has recorded extremely high antibacterial effectiveness in tests. “Antimicrobial8” is a powder paint formulated using an inorganic type of antibacterial agent employing silver ions with a broad spectrum of activity; the decision to choose this agent, whose antibacterial activity has actually been known since antiquity, springs from: • the results of the most advanced studies and research; • its confirmed and absolute innocuousness for human health; • the absence of scientific evidence of bacteria which have improved their resistance to this type of biocide over time; • its extremely low environmental impact, being an agent which does not migrate, is not transferred from the object by contact and does not disperse into the environment. The presence in the “Antimicrobial8” formulation of the antibacterial agent gives rise to slow and constant release over time of silver ions which endow the treated articles with marked antimicrobial characteristics that effectively impede bacterial proliferation. It should be noted that the bacterial proliferation inhibitory features of “Antimicrobial8” and the guarantee of the duration of its effectiveness do not eliminate the need to clean the articles constantly and scrupulously.

a preoccupazione derivante dalla possibile diffusione di infezioni batteriche e l’aggressività e resistenza dimostrata da certi batteri, sta determinando una domanda sempre più diffusa e differenziata di ambienti di lavoro e di incontro dotati di attrezzature, macchinari ed arredi sicuri e protetti dalla possibile proliferazione batterica. I laboratori di ricerca e sviluppo Europolveri, nell’ottica di dare una concreta risposta ad una richiesta di importanza così rilevante, hanno formulato una vernice in polvere della serie Durpol, denominata “Antimicrobial8”, in grado di bloccare la proliferazione di batteri pericolosi che, in caso contrario, andrebbero a formare il cosiddetto “biofilm” o “tappeto batterico” difficile poi da rimuovere. Il trattamento “Antimicrobial8” ha fatto registrare ai test una elevatissima efficacia antibatterica. “Antimicrobial8” è una vernice in polvere formulata utilizzando un agente antibatterico di tipo inorganico agli ioni d’argento ad ampio spettro di attività; la scelta di tale agente, la cui attività antibatterica era peraltro nota fin dall’antichità, scaturisce da: • risultati degli studi e delle ricerche più avanzate; • confermata ed assoluta innocuità per la salute umana; • mancanza di evidenza scientifica di batteri che abbiano migliorato nel tempo la loro resistenza a questo tipo di biocida; • il bassissimo impatto ambientale: è infatti un agente che non migra, non si trasferisce dall’oggetto per contatto e non si disperde nell’ambiente. La presenza nella formulazione di “Antimicrobial8” dell’agente antibatterico determina un rilascio lento e costante nel tempo di ioni d’argento che conferiscono ai manufatti trattati spiccate caratteristiche antimicrobiche e che di fatto impediscono la proliferazione batterica. Va evidenziato che le caratteristiche inibitorie della proliferazione batterica di “Antmicrobial8” e la garanzia di durata dell’efficacia, non eliminano la necessità di costanti e scrupolosi trattamenti di pulizia dei manufatti.
