recently returned from an extraordinary trip. This time my travels took me to Nairobi, Kenya, on a mission to support the start-up of a powder coating finishing line for high efficiency cookstoves. It was a privilege to lend my insights and perspective on how best to prepare the cold rolled steel and how to apply a durable, heat resistant powder coating to ensure a long service life. This was my first trip to Africa and as typical as journeys go, it was the people that struck me the most. Let me provide some background. I was working with Burn Manufacturing, the production company of the non-profit group, Burn Design Labs. These enterprises were founded by Peter Scott, a world renowned expert in clean cookstove technology that targets developing nations (Fig. 1). The impetus behind this initiative is to provide an

È stato un privilegio condividere le mie idee e il mio punto di vista su come preparare al meglio l’acciaio laminato a freddo e come applicare un rivestimento a polveri durevole e resistente al calore, per assicurare una lunga vita di servizio. Questo è stato il mio primo viaggio in Africa e, come avviene sempre visitando posti nuovi, sono le persone a colpirmi di più. Permettetemi di spiegarvi il contesto. Stavo lavorando con Burn Manufacturing, la società di produzione del Gruppo no-profit Burn Design Labs.
