inc flake coatings are used in highly specialised markets because their characteristics fully satisfy the specific requirements of these markets, especially in those sectors in which protection against corrosion, together with other functionalities, plays a fundamental role. The automotive, heavy trucks, agricultural machines – earthmoving and construction ones - and renewable energy industries, together with many other important sectors, have put their trust in zinc-flake technologies for more than 30 years. The company that introduced these coatings in Europe in the 1970s is the Italian company Fosfantartiglio L.E.I. in Rho, Milan (Italy) (Fig. 1), treatment plant specialised in coating fasteners for the automotive industry (Ref. opening photo), which, among its numerous achievements, can boast the largest and most powerful line in the world for applying DÖRKEN MKS zinc-flake coating, made by Ewald Dörken AG of Herdecke, Germany (Fig. 2).

rivestimenti zinco lamellari servono mercati altamente specializzati poiché le loro caratteristiche soddisfano pienamente i requisiti specifici di questi ultimi, soprattutto in quei settori in cui la protezione dalla corrosione, abbinata ad altre funzionalità, gioca un ruolo fondamentale. Le industrie delle autovetture, degli autocarri, delle macchine agricole, da movimento terra e da costruzione, o delle energie rinnovabili, insieme a molti altri settori importanti, si affidano da oltre trent’anni alle tecnologie zinco-lamellari. La società che ha avuto il merito di introdurre questi rivestimenti in Europa negli Anni ‘70 è l’italiana Fosfantartiglio L.E.I. di Rho (Milano, fig. 1), trattamentista specializzato nel rivestimento di elementi di fissaggio per il settore auto (rif. foto di apertura) che, fra i suoi numerosi primati, può vantare anche quello di possedere la linea attualmente più grande e potente al mondo di applicazione dei rivestimenti zinco-lamellari della serie DÖRKEN MKS, prodotti dalla Ewald Dörken AG di Herdecke, Germania (fig. 2).
