owadays, SMEs as well as large manufacturing companies are implementing business strategies aimed at reducing their processes’

environmental impact and improving their employees’ conditions by making their workspaces more ergonomic. Being a sustainable company no longer simply means to equip a factory with systems that meet the increasingly stringent regulations on the environment and safety, but also to be far-sighted in developing production by implementing Industry 4.0 principles in a structural and convenient way. “I am personally involved in my company’s daily life and, therefore, I want it to have certain characteristics while protecting everyone’s health and safety,” says owner Piergiovanni Maschietto to explain the reasons behind his business strategy for Maschietto Mario Eredi Srl, a coating contractor specialising in both powder and liquid treatments with 40 employees managed by Piergiovanni and his brothers, Valentino and Giuliano. “It has always been so: Maschietto was one of the first companies to install an afterburner for the abatement of volatile organic compounds.”
