THE IOWA GAMES POWERED BY THE IOWA FOOD & FAMILY PROJECT Norman Borlaug was raised near Cresco, Iowa and is one of only six people to have won the Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal. He is referred to as the “Father of the Green Revolution” and credited with introducing high-yield, disease-resistant wheat varieties that saved over a billion people worldwide from starvation. Today’s farmers continue his legacy. So does the Iowa Food & Family Project.

The Iowa Food & Family Project isn’t an organization. It’s a movement, one that celebrates the miracle of food and the men and women that provide it. The Iowa Food & Family Project doesn’t consist of a board of directors. There are no officers or board of directors. It isn’t incorporated.

They want all farmers to prosper. They believe that food should be respected. They also believe in the organization’s mission: To inspire strong and enduring relations between farmers and consumers through personal engagement, advocacy and education to the benefit of human vitality, environmental quality and economic prosperity.
